Over-Shoe Ice and Snow Cleats by Epica {Review}

Think its too late in the season to be reviewing ice and snow cleats?  Its 17° today.
iceMy sister-in-law and I were able to review these Over-Shoe Ice and Snow Cleats, and just in time for another ice spell to sweep over Boston.  Here I tried on the size M pair, to show you the fit, but Diana’s really the one who tested these out.  Her words below:

“With the terrible winter we’ve experienced, the sidewalks have been covered by ice for months at a time.  I’ve seen many people slip and fall, and have almost fallen multiple times myself.  These cleats are perfect for preventing any further mishaps!  They slide easily over the bottom of your boots and fit very comfortably.  They are snug and won’t fall off.  When walking on dry ground, it feels like walking on regular cleats and it can feel a little wobbly.

When walking on ice, though, I felt completely stable and couldn’t even feel the metal spikes on bottom.  They really do work!  I’m able to make the half-mile walk to the train station for work each morning without having to worry about taking tiny baby-steps to prevent falling.  I never slid once!  They are light and easy to pack around with you.  I almost want more snow and ice so I can keep wearing these around!  Almost 🙂
You can purchase these Over-Shoe Ice and Snow Cleats on Amazon HERE for $18.95 – $24.95, and hurry so you’ll get to try them out during these last few snow storms we’re bound to get!  Yuck!

Hasn’t boot season been fun?  From late September til April, they’re pretty much all I wear.  Soggy hems are not one of my favorite things.  Have you seen those boot socks that accompany fashionable boots on the street this season?  I fell in love with the look of that peek-a-boo amount of sock/warmer, and Grace & Lace carries the most stylish pairs I’ve seen!

  I think the most darling way to dress up boots are with some lace and buttons!  So feminine and flirty!  I can almost guarantee you will swoon over these fantastic boot socks and leg warmers:

Don’t you want a pair of each?  I love this look this season!  Grace & Lace sent me a pair of the Lacey Ivory Boot Socks, and they are everything I dreamed they would be.  The lace on top is expertly sewn, the buttons are secure and a perfect match, and the cuff has a great amount of stretch, but it is still snug enough to stay where you put it, so these could be tall or short.

The little ruffle of lace at the top of my boots is my favorite detail of the ensemble!

  The most beautiful part, and maybe my favorite feature, of these is the portion inside your boots–a lovely knit of fine threads, providing an incredible amount of stretch.  I could wear these with practically any boot height, and show as much or as little lace as I wanted.  They could stretch over my knee cap if I wanted, or slouch comfortably over some ankle boots.

 Oh so lovely.  It’ll be hard to do the laundry fast enough to wear these as much as I want to!

Crazy St. Louis weather.

The weather has been a little out of control around here.  Last week we hit the 70’s.  Then we had tornado warnings mid week.  We woke up to quite a bit of snow on Sunday.  Banjo and Audi built a snowman.  By Sunday evening Frosty was hunching over.  Monday he continued to hunch and finally decided to just fall over altogether.  Today the snow is completely gone.  See what I mean?  Crazy weather.  It just needs to make its mind up already.  Is it going to be warm?  Is it going to be cold?  Weather, just stick with one please!  🙂

“Once there was a snowman, snowman, snowman,
Once there was a snowman, tall, tall, tall.
In the sun he melted, melted, melted.
In the sun he melted, small, small, small.”

That song is one of Banjo’s favorites!  The end.

Who really cares about viewing the beauty of the backyard, anyway? It’s all about the feel of the cold glass on the festering gums.
