I am a water hog. I think I have mentioned this before. I ALWAYS carry a water bottle around with me, and I am constantly sipping on it. I probably drink around 2 liters of water a day. I drink milk occasionally with dinner or breakfast, but I don’t like to drink my calories, so I mostly stick to water. However, there are times when I just want a little flavor. I don’t want a soda which is just going to make me more thirsty or crave sweets or amp me up, but I just need a little something extra to pump up my bland water. Omega Infusionâ„¢ has created a water that is all that and more!
You’ve probably heard of Omega-3s, but do you know what they do for you and why they’re good for you? Yeah, either did I. Omega-3 fatty acids are vital to a healthy metabolism and are commonly found in fish oil, egg oil and flaxseed oil.  Other health benefits, such as a reduced risk of heart disease, have been linked to a diet with high levels of Omega-3s, but unless you eat fish for every meal and slip flaxseed into your homemade bread (if you make homemade bread), chances are you’re probably not getting enough Omega-3s. That’s where Omega Infusion comes to the rescue!
Omega Infusion uses the Oceans Omega technology to pack a 17-oz. bottle of water full of Omega-3s. There are four flavors of Omega Infusion water; Berry, Citrus, Fruit Punch and Orange. I was sent a case with three bottles of each flavor, and they didn’t last long in our fridge! All of the flavors are delicious. The flavoring is light, not overpowering, and the taste is crisp, especially straight out of the fridge. I worried that the water would taste (or rather, feel) slimy because of the omega-3 oil in it, but there is no strange aftertaste or weird slimy-ness; just good, cool water! Fruit Punch was my favorite because I am a fan of anything fruit punch, but the others were all equally delicious as well. My hubby said they tasted like Gatorade, and I have to agree with him, though he’s by far the bigger Gatorade connoisseur and knows better than I. The best part of Omega Infusion water is that it is a zero-calorie beverage, so you can drink it and enjoy the flavor but not worry about the calories! The drinks are also infused with 200% of your daily Vitamin C needs and 80% of your Vitamin B Complex needs. I think the only thing that would make Omega Infusion better would be if there were any actual fruit or juice in the water instead of artificial flavors and sweeteners. The label does say “natural and artificial flavors,” but there is 0% juice, so I don’t know where those “natural” flavors would come from. Omega Infusion water is sold at select grocery stores (anyone have a Stop&Shop, Giant, HEB or heinen’s near them?) or can be purchased online. A 12-pack is only $17.95, and a Rainbow 4-pack (all four flavors) is only $8.95.
I was sent this awesome 12-pack of beverages and a groovy Omega Infusions T-Shirt, and TWO winners will receive the same prize I did, so enter below to win!
