Packages from my online Christmas shopping began arriving on my doorstop last week:

One that resembles that square at the top of this posting and looks something like this:

Of course a package from Zulily was delivered at my house, because I’ve been doing A LOT of shopping on Zulily!

I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to shop online.  It’s the best way to find a bargain.  Everything at Zulily is a bargain, so it’s my go to place for holiday shopping.  I literally check in every day to see what the latest deals are.  So far we have acquired some building blocks for Banjo on Zulily at around 80% off retail.  This week I’ll There are just so many things at major percentages off that it’s sooooo very difficult to decide just what to get her!  Maybe this adorable shopping cart:

There are so many options right now.  I’ll have to check in tomorrow see what the new items are for children at Zulily!  Not shopping for kiddos?  Well, Zulily has way more than just stuff for kids.  I actually bought myself a wool peacoat from there a couple of weeks ago.  It’s gorgeous!  And the price?  Amazing.  $29.  That’s right… only $29!!!

Angry Eyes

Banjo struggled to behave at the store today. I mean really struggled. At TWO separate stores to be exact. So what is a mom to do? For starters I gotta prevent the behavior from occurring at a future event. Am I right? So when he said he wanted to watch a show this afternoon I promptly told him that he could not, because he didn’t behave earlier. Then I explained that next time he should remember this moment to avoid the consequence from happening again. To which he replied, “I’m taking out my happy eyes and putting in my angry ones”. *sigh*

But guess what??? It’s the weekend, so I’m putting in my deliriously dandy, happy eyes!

We had the most difficult time nap and sleep training Banjo.  It was a nightmare!  He was 15 months old and still struggling to fall asleep without being rocked.  Fortunately we had a great pediatrician that gave us great advice and a great plan for behavioral modification.  Which was right up my psychology alley!  Part of the process was to get Banjo a night-night friend.  So night-night bear was born.

Ruby is on the move.  Seriously.  She’s rolling everywhere and knows that it gets her places.  She pushes up on her knees and rocks.  You all know what that means.  Crawling will commence very, very soon.   Hopefully she holds off another week, because Audi and I are actually headed to the Smokey Mountains for our 10 year anniversary.  Which means that Ruby and Banjo will be staying with the grandparents while we are gone.  Which also means that if Ruby starts to crawl while we are gone and I miss it then I will be devastated.  Fingers crossed it doesn’t happen just yet, okay?  Speaking of kiddos that are also movers… There’s just some toys that I wish existed back in 2008 when Banjo was a little guy.  Little Tikes sent us this Pillow Racer for Ruby and it’s amazing!  I can’t wait for her to cruise along on it.  Just not for at least a week…  😉

Lalaloopsy Mango Tiki Wiki Doll {Giveaway} ***ENDED***

Remember that one posting about the cake auction for the youth at my church?  And how I incorporated the Lalaloopsy Mermaid Doll into the dessert creation?  And how cute it turned out?  And how it sold for $70?  Well, something that I didn’t tell you was that there was a little bit of a bidding war going on.  Two little girls really wanted that doll.  With the rules of any auction only one little girl’s parents could win the bidding.  I knew that the donations were all about funding the youth, but I felt awful that there was a little girl going home without the Lalaloopsy.  So what did I do?  I went over and told her that I would be getting in a Lalaloopsy Mango Tiki Wiki Doll for this very posting.  Also, that she could have that doll.  So…  This adorable  Hawaiian doll now belongs to one very sweet little girl:

 

My little friend Olivia was one very excited little girl to get her hands on this doll!

It sure did make me smile to see her so happy.  🙂

Shop Imagineers {Giveaway} ***ENDED***

I’ve long dreamed of opening up some sort of little shop.  You know those cute little shops in those quaint popular tourist destinations across the U.S.?  Love them!  Yep I even purposely pick vacations that involve shopping of that magnitude.  Sometimes.  Okay a lot of the time.  Well, my dream involves opening up one of those shops.  Probably a boutique of sorts, because I’m such a fan of fashion.  Not that I’m all that fashionable myself, but I’m really good at picking out fashion for others.  😉    I don’t see my dream coming true any time soon.  Okay probably never.  So it’s a good thing that others follow through with their dreams.  Then I can oooo and ahh over those shops… Especially shops like Shop Imagineers, because I can then oooo and ahhh from my very own living room!  This shop is seriously extraordinary and I’m so glad to have found it online.

Before I get started on all the contents of this shop that I love… I have to first tell you what I love most about Shop Imagineers.  For reasons that are close to home for Shop Imagineers they help to support the Stroke Foundation and raising awareness of how quickly a stroke can strike.  This is something that is very near and dear to my heart, because my grandmother has had multiple strokes.  She does have some major deficits, but we are lucky to have her with us still.  Thank you Shop Imagineers for taking your experience and using it to help others.  I also wish you well on the road to your own recovery.

Shop Imagineers literally has everything that that I would order in for my dream shop.  That I am sure, because it has everything that is fabulously dandy!  Shop Imagineers has pizazz with gorgeous scarves:

Fisher-Price Giggle Gang {Giveaway} ***ENDED***

Having a new baby in the house means beginning a collection of new toys.  Sure she has loads of hand me downs from her big brother, but many of them are really worn.  And frankly there are always newer toys coming out!  So when I was contacted to try out the Giggle Gang from Fisher-Price I was ecstatic!  These new toys for age 6 months and up are fabulously dandy.  The members of the Giggle Gang are all soft, colorful, playful, and fun!  See what I mean?  Totally cute:

And… What does Ruby think of her Giggle Gang toys?  She loves ’em!  She loves ’em!  These are the best invention for the little ones I have decided.  They aren’t only just cute, but they are interactive with your child.  The slightest movement will set these guys giggling, laughing, and making the most adorable sounds.  I’m talking sounds that your baby already makes!  The sounds from the Giggle Gang are recorded from babies, so it’s like having a second (or third, or fourth…) baby in the house for your little one to play with.  Ruby is absolutely entranced when I play with her with the Giggle Gang.
