I have to admit that my absolute favorite stage of pregnancy is RIGHT NOW — I’m 26 weeks along, meaning that I’m not too huge but actually look pregnant, my morning sickness is completely gone, and I have tons of energy. **So sorry to those of you who are still throwing up around the clock or already have swollen ankles — I really lucked out this time!**
My favorite part of pregnancy, though, is having the baby bump. I hate to think of it as an accessory, but I really feel like I look cute in just about anything I wear because I have a baby bump!  I’m more willing to try new styles because I figure that if I can’t pull it off, people will just think, “Oh, too bad — it’s hard to be pregnant and try to find clothes that fit you” and not “Yikes. No sense of style on that one.”
I discovered Milan Maternity about a month ago when I was looking for a few pieces that would work for all stages of pregnancy and maybe even for the postpartum bulge and nursing “trimester” (that lasts about a year…).  I immediately fell in love with the pieces from Milan Maternity because they’re cute and stylish, appropriate for a variety of seasons, transitional, and completely affordable!
“Pregnancy is a time to be celebrated and every woman deserves to have a great wardrobe during this special nine months! However, most of us don’t have $80 to slap down for a single designer maternity top, and also don’t want to settle for frumpy, unflattering styles either. Our mission is to provide designer style that flatters your new shape at prices you can be happy about.”
I’m not kidding when I say that I literally took hours to select an item to review! I looked through everything, decided that I wanted it all, tried to pare down my list, went through my closet to see if I was missing a certain color/style, etc. I am serious when I say that I could have gotten anything (or everything!) from Milan Maternity and been completely happy! I decided on this top to use in the fall/winter time when I will be nursing:
I tried it on immediately and it fit so well, even on top of my growing belly! The fabric is high-quality, and I’m sure it could last quite a while and could easily be used past maternity and nursing stages.  I especially loved that the bottom part of this shirt didn’t flare like other empire-waist maternity tops do; this certainly makes this top a “transitional” piece that doesn’t scream “MATERNITY!” when worn.
