Since my high school colors were orange and black, I remember classmates clearing out the discounted Halloween section on several occasions in search of the next outfit to wear to the game.  Jess can attest to how seriously some people took the term ‘school pride’.  I really miss it actually.  Now that I’m an ‘adult’ and I can’t really wear pom-poms for hair and witchy striped toe socks, I’m hitting up a whole different shop for my game gear: Meesh & Mia!  meeshandmia-6_600I am having a blast collecting different school spirit items.   All from Meesh & Mia, I currently have a BYU top and a BYU dress to represent my alta mater, a Patriots shirt to feel like I belong here in Boston, and now a pair of green skinnies that I wore to the Celtics game last weekend!

These are The Stretch Skinny Jeans in Kelly Green.  I love that they come in more sizes than just S, M, or L.  You can order these in size 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 14, or 16.  I ordered an 8 and they fit like a dream.  I love the way that it fits around my waist without creating a muffin top or needing a belt.  The slight amount of stretch is comfortable, and the thickness feels durable.  Flattering and machine washable!  I’m a believer!

On the way to the game, I heard some lady say, “Mmm, I am LOVIN those green pants!”.  I was seriously the only person there at the game in kelly green skinnies.  I think I’ll be wearing these all spring and summer long with navy stripes.

These were the perfect thing to wear to a basketball game.  30 degrees outside and 70 degrees inside is tricky to dress for, but skinny jeans are a fantastic spring staple that works in both temperatures while you layer or de-layer on top.

I also love that they carry the perfect clothing items for hot summer games as well as freezing Fall days.  Indoor and outdoor, dressy and casual, flirty and sophisticated.  Whatever your game-day style is, you can dress to your liking.  Their Spring collection is spot on.  Lots of soft, lightweight fabrics that are easy to layer and comfortable to wear.

How to begin, how to begin, how to begin…  First off I didn’t do a biweekly posting like I said I would.  That’s never a good sign, right?  Okay.  Deep breath.  Last week was an epic fail.  I stayed exactly the same weight.  I didn’t gain and I didn’t lose.  Exactly the same!!!

The week started off fabulously.  In fact all the weekdays were fabulous.  I worked out on the elliptical 2 days at 50 minutes each.  So I didn’t hit my 3 days of working out goal, but those 2 sessions were 50 minutes each!  😉   I ate healthy Monday thru Friday.  Seriously health.  Like I didn’t use all of my points at all.  Even on Friday night I was feeling really good about myself.  Yep I was totally under my points for all the weekdays.  So how did I not lose you are thinking???  Here’s how…

All of the above are perfectly fine in moderation, but do you think I moderated?  NO.  See what I mean?  Epic fail.  I hosted a baby shower in my home on Saturday and then of course Sunday was the big football game.  I was weak.  I caved.  I ate.

This week?  Not going to happen.  I’ve gotta do better.

How did you do?

So maybe my fantasy football team didn’t do so hot this year.  Good thing March Madness is just around the corner to give me a shot at boosting up my dashed pride.  Who else is getting excited for basketball season!?  To be completely honest, throughout college, I thought more about what I was WEARING to the game, than who we were playing.  I worried about it being too dressy, too casual, the right color, the right season, etc…You guys, I’ve found the most fantastic store of team spirit clothing!  Meesh & Mia!

I about died when I heard I’d be able to work with Meesh & Mia again and review their Spirit Dress with Contrast Piping.  Its so hot hot hot!  It has just the right amount of stretch, and the piping is nice and crisp.  All around, I am impressed with the construction, and I love how sporty it looks.  Here is how I would style it:

And then I’d dress it up for after the game!
