9781859859315My toddler is crazy for stickers lately!  What toddler isn’t, right?  They’re one of the best sit-still tools I have in the diaper bag.  This delightful storybook of David & Goliath is spot on perfect for any little kid who loves books and stickers.

So you see the white cut out shapes on the front cover?  The entire book is set up in this fashion, with full-color illustrated pictures depicting the well-known story, and white shapes where the stickers are intended to go, so it becomes a sort of shape-matching activity at the same time.  The pictures are rather cute and have a hand-drawn appeal.

I like the way the story was summarized and simplified.  The storyline and dialogue is easy for children to follow along.  I also like the last sentence of the book, encouraging readers to go read the full story themselves in their bible.

Great vivid colors, pleasant character depictions, and high quality stickers!  A key feature is the glossiness of the pages, which allows the stickers to be peeled off and reapplied.  This also adds to the appeal of being more than a one-time-use activity.

There are 12 pages in all, and 4 pages of stickers, and recommended for ages 3 and up.  The size is just right to sit in the lap of a toddler, and the pages can stay open on their own when pressed.

The author, Karen Williamson, is a mother of three, and worked as a London primary school teacher before launching her career as a full-time writer.

I think this is a great activity for church!  I love that my kids can read bible stories while they are trying to be still and quiet.

You can purchase the book online HERE for $5.99, which is a totally acceptable price for the value and entertainment it will provide.

When I had my first son, I remember a friend of mine asking if I wanted to drive with her to Palm Springs (a little over an hour away) to get her son’s picture taken.  I agreed to go, and I had a great time shopping in the mall while they took pictures.  When she dropped us off at home that afternoon, she asked if I was up for it again the next month, and so our tradition began.  The irony, though, was that I didn’t clue in to getting picture of MY son taken at the same time!  I’m jealous now of the 5×7 framed pictures she had on her stairwell — 12 pictures (one for each month) of her son and another 12 pictures of her daughter.  It’s amazing to see the changes in such a short period of time!

When I came across Clams and a Ham Dog on Etsy, I thought immediately of my friend, and I knew that these onesie stickers were the best idea!

Jessica has a variety of designs for her onesie stickers that can be used each month for these special monthly pictures to document those changes.  I love that they can be used on any outfit and that the stickers remind you of their age in that photo.  As much as I try, I still have a hard time remembering exactly how old my boys are in some pictures.  :(  Too bad I didn’t have these darling boy necktie designs:

And, my sister-in-law who just had her fifth baby girl would love these adorable pink and aqua colored stickers for girls:

There are also ones for holidays — these are my absolute favorite!  Cost-effective (no more buying special onesies to wear for one day and then never use again!) and festive for each occasion.

See for yourself – look at this darling baby girl styling her own onesie stickers from Clams and a Ham Dog:

Clams and a Ham Dog also features stickers for older children as well, with stickers for 12-24 months and others for big sister/brother.  Here’s an adorable shot of her excited big sister sporting her own “Big Sis” sticker:

Notice the tutu in the above pictures?  Clams and a Ham Dog also features a bundle pack with a tutu and a set of monthly stickers.  What a great idea!

These make fabulous, unique gifts for expectant mothers and are great for your own children.  Head on over to Clams and a Ham Dog and take a look at all the adorable (or handsome!) designs!

Clams and a Ham Dog is giving away one set of onesie stickers (your choice of design!) to Dandy readers!  Be sure to enter below!

Christmas is coming, the goose is getting fat!  Every year, my family draws names for who will give gifts to which family, and its usually a huge dilemma for me, trying to decide what gifts to give.  You want it to be personal, something they don’t already have, and something that will be useful.  If you are looking for a great family gift idea, here are some super ideas from FamilyStickers.com!

You can design your little family of stick people like I did here:

And then create all sorts of fun things!  There are so many super cute options, such as fridge magnets:

Stationary:

Or even jewelry!

This year, I wanted to make our little family a Christmas ornament!  I’m DYING to put up the Christmas tree early so I can show off our new ornament from FamilyStickers.com!  I was so pleased with how it turned out!  I loved being able to select every detail I wanted to include, down to the exact skin tone and color of every article of clothing and object.  The ornament itself is much more sturdy than it may look.  Solid and thick.  Ain’t no baby chewing up this ornament off the tree.

Christmas gifts are covered for one lucky winner who will receive a $30 giftcard to spend at FamilyStickers.com!
