KiDECALS {Giveaway} – CLOSED

Disclosure: This could be a sponsored post or contain affiliate links (which means I earn a percentage of the sale), but all opinions are strictly my own.

So, I have to admit that I spent a lot of time on this website several weeks ago when I was offered the opportunity for a review!  I initially thought, “Labels.  Huh.  How many choices could there be?  I’m not sure that I can even think of something for which I need labels…”

I was so wrong.

After perusing the KiDECALS website for the better part of an evening, I came to the realization that I need labels for just about everything in my house, and even more for those things that go out of my house and need to come back in!!  The KiDECALS website is fun to look through, offers so many different products for different purposes and age groups, and has done an amazing job of helping me finish up some Pinterest projects!

untitled

“Our unique kid name labels stick to any surface – including clothes – and are waterproof, dishwasher & washing machine safe! Stick these personalized kids name labels & kids name tags on easily lost items such as water bottles and mittens so they get quickly returned! With over 80 decal and label designs to meet trends and interests, there is a style of personalized labels for everyone – even grownups!  KIDECALS makes custom labels for birthdays, weddings, or other events.  A great way to personalize a party!  We also offer hand-painted kids wall decals for an instant mural in any room of the house.  These PVC free decals are removable and repositionable. See all we have to offer.  Shop now!”

Take a look at the ones that stood out to me when I went shopping on KiDECALS:

Blue-Zigzag-Featured

Blue Zig Zag Keycals! are just so stinking fun!  I have a cute decal for the outside of my laptop, but I never even thought about decorating the keys themselves.

BigAllergyAlertblank

Big Info Allergy/Medical — A good friend of mine has a daughter with a number of life-threatening allergies, and I know that she worries about taking her daughter to a friend’s house for the afternoon or even dropping her off at school sometimes.  These allergy/medical decals are perfect for that pertinent information that could easily be forgotten when panic sets in.

 BRplaid

Blue and Red Plaid — I can think of about twenty-eight uses for these labels just for my own boys (preschool classes, birthday party, school supplies, etc.) and imagine that I would come up with another twenty-eight if I had them readily available.

DOMStationaryS7

Initial Basic — I love the way these labels look!  We never live in the same house long enough for me to ever feel the need to have personalized address labels, but I think that I might have to remember these when we get settled at the beginning of the new year.  🙂

sightwordsfinal

Sight Words — I taught first grade and had a “Word Wall” that we added to all year long, and these labels would have made that process much easier!  You can choose your own sight words for these labels, which would be perfect for elementary classrooms, preschool settings, or even at home.

ChalkboardLabel1Chalkboard Label Cloud — This set of labels fulfilled Pinterest Project #1 for me!  I’ve been wanting to purchase a number of the same containers for my pantry items (flour, sugar, rice, etc.) and use a cute label for them, but I hadn’t found quite the right label…  Until now!  I especially love that these are chalkboard labels, meaning that I can quickly and easily change the contents without having to purchase new labels!  My sheet came with enough that I could also use on the boxes in the boys’ toy room, which has made clean up just that much easier for everyone.

 Slider_Potluck_NEW

And, another cute idea for the couple of chalkboard labels that haven’t found a home yet.  🙂

greencursivec

Letters Cursive Font— I received this decal (only in brown with the letter “J” instead) to finish up a Pinterest project that I’ve had sitting my closet for a couple of months.  I found a cute frame at the thrift store, popped out the back and left the glass in the frame, then put this vinyl letter on the glass.  It’s simple but so classy!  It’s a great addition to any room, as well as a great gift idea for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, etc.

The time has come for Banjo to advance to the tiny building blocks.  I cringe.  They are just so small and I’m sure they will be everywhere.  All over the house.  Overtaking and spreading throughout the various floors of our one tiny building blocks lacking home.  I cringe, but I know they are essential for his little fingers and fine motor skills!  I have until Christmas Day before the madness ensues.  Santa is bringing the tiny ones.  Up until the December moment Banjo has been building with the bulky ones.  They are big.  They are seen before stepping on.  They are safe for the baby.  Okay they do take up a lot of room.  Especially on our travels.  Who really wants to haul around the big, bulky container of building blocks???  There has to be an easier way.  And there is…

Much of the contents of that bin can be condensed right down to a tiny bag.

Lay-n-Go sent me their LITE 18 inch activity mat just to demonstrate how easy it is.

Even a Banjo can do it:

Perfect for traveling, organizing, and even keeping track of those tiny building blocks that Santa will be bringing to our house!

Lay-n-Go comes in 3 great sizes:  COSMO for cosmetics bag ($29.95), LITE activity mat ($24.95), and LARGE activity mat: ($64.95).

And some really great colors:

One lucky winner will receive a LITE 18 inch playmat from Lay-n-Go.  Winner’s choice on the color!

*Enter on the Rafflecopter below, by answering the question, “Which is your favorite color of Lay-n-Go?”  *Must leave the answer to this question in a comment on this blog posting to qualify.

Have I told you that I’m taking piano lessons for the second time in my life?  It’s true!

Then how fun is this bag for trick or treating?

Banjo would love filling it and there’s even a cute bag just for me.  🙂

Audiologist man could use one of these handy organizers:

In a manly fabric pattern of course!

Our living room needs these baskets for magazines:

Then I could use that cute umbrella…

Some storage for my crafting supplies…

And a new makeup bag…

In my opinion it’s never too early to start shopping for holiday gifts.  I have lots of people to shop for and there’s no shame in getting a head start.  And avoiding the headache of the crowds is a great motivator!  Remember I’m expecting a baby come January, so I’m not going to feel much like hanging around the stores during cold and flu season this year.  Who does?  So take my advice and connect with Thirty-One Director and Trainer Gretchen Manmiller.  She will get you all hooked up for your holiday shopping!  That means now (early shopping) and a few months from now (fall shopping).  Also heed my advice and don’t wait until November to shop.  Then you can focus on what’s truly important at the holidays.  Spending time with loved ones!  Through Gretchen you can get all your gifts in one stop, so that’s even better!  With Thirty-One there’s truly something for everyone on your list.  I’m certain that you are going to see something now that’s a must have for a person on your list, so let’s have a looksie shall we?  For starters…

How cute is this handbag?

Then there’s this…

Gorgeous apron!

And…

For that person who needs some office organization,

This month is kinda CRAZY at our house.  It’s both of my kids’ birthdays — just 3 days apart — and we likes to party.  We had a joint birthday party for them at a bounce house near us and I opted to do it as simply as I could.  No set-up {because it wasn’t at my house}, no clean-up {because again, it wasn’t at my house} — just show up, eat pizza and jump to their little 1 and 3 year old hearts’ content with their best buds.  I decided not to even make a cake — then I would need plates, forks and all that…. so we went with cupcakes!

And this is why I was so PUMPED to get Snapware’s Snap ‘N Stack — the 2-Layer Cookie & Cupcake Carrier.  This could not have showed up on my doorstep at a better time!   The 2-Layer Cookie & Cupcake Carrier includes 2 reversible inserts, and holds cupcakes, cookies and even quarter-sheet cakes.

Snapware has everything you need to keep your home and kitchen clean and organized {music to my little ears}.   Snapware’s goal is to make your life easier — so you can stop worrying about clutter and keeping your food fresh and stored neatly.  And they do.  Just to mention a few Snapware gems that you will use all over your house:

Snap ‘N Stack Medium Ribbon Dispenser

Pet Storage Canister

Glasslock 4 Piece Rectangular Airtight Food Storage Container Set

And there are tons more!  Snapware has tons of storage solutions for food, crafts, pets and other household areas.  Even holidays!  You can see it all on their website.  Plus, those Snapware guys are so nice, they even offer free shipping on any order over $40.  Gotta love that!

This week, one lucky duck will win their very own Snapware Snap ‘N Stack 2-Layer Cupcake and Cookier Carrier!

{DIY} Not Just a Hat Rack. Nevermind – it is a Hat Rack.

Disclosure: This could be a sponsored post or contain affiliate links (which means I earn a percentage of the sale), but all opinions are strictly my own.

Warning: Use of undefined constant user_level - assumed 'user_level' (this will throw an Error in a future version of PHP) in /home/dandysof/dandygiveaway.com/wp-content/plugins/ultimate-google-analytics/ultimate_ga.php on line 524

I always always put my boys in hats when we are outside.  I’ve been doing it since they were teensy babies as I wanted them to get used to it.  We all have fair skin and living in the south, it’s sun city here — so I wanted to be able to protect their little eyes and faces from the burning, searing Texas sun.

Now when we leave the house, my two year old always since, “Wait!  I need my hat!  The sun will poke my eyes!”   And if we forget Baby D’s hat, he always reminds me to run in and grab it.  The result of this is that we have a. lot. of. hats.  It’s a weakness of mine — everytime I see a cute one that will fit (or will fit in the future) I buy it.  Some people buy shoes, I buy toddler baseball hats.  Or beanies.  Or newsboy hats.  Whatever, I like ’em all.

I had previously just screwed a few robe hooks into each of their walls to hang up all the hats.  But the hats were multiplying and the hooks couldn’t accomodate all the hats and I would stack them on soooo carefully and not breathe near them and hope that they wouldn’t all fall down the first time my kids slammed the door.  They did fall.

So I came up with this guy:

This is what I started with (I always always save old frames, no matter how ugly or odd-sized — and sure enough, one day a project comes along that is just begging for a weird looking side by side 10 x 13 frame):

How the magic happened:

{1} Spray paint red — I start to wilt if it’s been awhile since I spray painted anything

{2} Took out the cardboard backing, wrapped it in burlap and hot glued down the edges so it would stay tight

{3} I predrilled small holes and then screwed in some hooks by hand along the bottom of the frame

{4} Then I contacted Shelley at Wonderfully Wordy {also House of Smiths — amazing!} and got me some cute vinyl.  A few days later, it was on my doorstep and all I did was peel and stick.  So easy.

Now I have a cute, functional and personalized hat rack that hangs in my son’s room.  He loves it; I love it.   Oh, and I did the entire project in the time it took me to watch one recorded {that means no commercials!} episode of Keeping up with the Kardashians {don’t judge me}.

I’m solving the world’s problems {otherwise known as my pet peeves} one at a time.  What simple storage or organization tricks have you used in your home?

I am linking to these fun sites: Tatertots and Jello, Funky Junk Interiors, Finding Fabulous, The Shabby Chic Cottage, Just a Girl, Paisley Passions, 30 Days and The Shabby Nest.

p.s. If you have never seen Shelley’s stuff, go browse over at Wonderfully Wordy.  I have ordered from her in the past as well, and she never disappoints!

{Giveaway} PortaPocket ***ENDED***

Disclosure: This could be a sponsored post or contain affiliate links (which means I earn a percentage of the sale), but all opinions are strictly my own.

Warning: Use of undefined constant user_level - assumed 'user_level' (this will throw an Error in a future version of PHP) in /home/dandysof/dandygiveaway.com/wp-content/plugins/ultimate-google-analytics/ultimate_ga.php on line 524

I always think I have it so together when I leave the house.  Like I said last week, I have a tendency to overpack when I go out.  And it’s weird, because somehow when I get somewhere (usually Target), I think I can make it in and out and not need to haul my giant bag.  Somehow my brain doesn’t always remember that it’s not like the old days, where I can just pop into the grocery store with my keys in one hand, my debit card in the other and call it good.  And yet, I still try and get away with that plan — WHY?  It’s like when I am getting out of my van (that right there should be my first sign that my hands will be full), that I overlook the fact that I will be carrying one kid in one arm, and another kid in my other arm (although it’s a great bicep workout).   But I keep trying, and I find myself wrestling my debit card from one kid every 2 seconds, because it’s not safely in my wallet, in my bag or in my pocket.

But now I can be so sneaky!  For those quick trips where you just aren’t in the mood to haul it all — try the PortaPocket!  The PortaPocket is really an “Undercover Solution” for those times when you don’t have a pocket, or a free hand.  The PortaPocket is easy to use, super lightweight and convenient.  The PortaPocket is a little pocket that slides onto a velcro strap (belt loop style) that you can wear around your calf, thigh, ankle, arm, or even your waist!  It’s not only easy to use, but it’s more secure than a handbag or purse.  You can slip it on under your clothes and no one will even know it’s there.

Don’t just take my word for it — the PortaPocket was featured on The Today Show as a “cure for your fashion emergencies.”  Sometimes a purse just isn’t practical — and now you can keep track of your stuff with confidence.  You can check out all of the PortaPocket products here — which one do you need?

One lucky duck is going to win a PortaPocket Essentials+ kit!

{Giveaway} Carry You Stroller Accessories ***ENDED***

Disclosure: This could be a sponsored post or contain affiliate links (which means I earn a percentage of the sale), but all opinions are strictly my own.

Warning: Use of undefined constant user_level - assumed 'user_level' (this will throw an Error in a future version of PHP) in /home/dandysof/dandygiveaway.com/wp-content/plugins/ultimate-google-analytics/ultimate_ga.php on line 524

My husband tells me that I am the over-packer of the universe.  I admit, I may be a little generous with my luggage… and this spills over into my everyday life.  I cannot leave my house without 2 sippy cups (heaven forbid they share), 2 (or 3 or 7) ziploc bags of snacks, 4 diapers, a change of clothes for Baby D, a few little toys and blah blah blah.  And then I of course have all my own crap to haul around — cell phone, wallet, keys and so on.  Hey, I like to be prepared.  Inevitably, the day I run an errand without all my gear is the day that Baby D poops through his clothes at Target and then we get stuck behind some construction mess for 45 minutes and my kids are naked and screaming.  And dying of thirst.  I haul a lot of stuff!

So when Carry You sent me the Sicily Double Stroller Organizer — I was thrilled!  I put it to the ultimate test — the road trip!  We recently took a trip to Galveston, Texas with our kids and I knew that we would be out and about for the whole day.  Normally I would have to pack a diaper bag that was 77 pounds to carry all the stuff I would need for a whole day out.  So I was excited to try out my Sicily.  The Sicily is super user-friendly and does keep all your essentials in one organized place.

My double stroller is the Combi side by side and the Sicily fit perfectly across the back and attaches securely with velcro on either side.  It has multiple pockets that can hold sippy cups galore, as well as a drink for me.  It also has smaller pockets which are perfect for holding your cell phone and keys  (I personally always like to keep those things in my stroller so that I can find them quickly when I’m packing up).   You can load that baby up with snacks, wipes, hand sanitizer — you name it!   I love that I do not have to practically crawl into the basket underneath the stroller to find what I need.

What if you don’t use a double stroller?  What if you don’t need quite as much organization accomodation?  Carry You can still make your life easier!
