Stella B. {Giveaway} – CLOSED

Disclosure: This could be a sponsored post or contain affiliate links (which means I earn a percentage of the sale), but all opinions are strictly my own.

Today’s post is a bittersweet one for me since it’s my last one as a blog contributor at this site!  We’re anxiously awaiting the arrival of our baby boy in the next week or two, and we can’t wait to snuggle and settle into our new normal as a family of five.  I started blogging with Dandy Giveaway almost exactly one year ago, and I have completely LOVED featuring shops and companies, reviewing new products, and bringing giveaways to our Dandy readers!!  I’ve loved working together (and becoming friends!) with Tara, Camille, and Valerie, and I’m so excited for all of the great things this blogging team has in store for the future.  And, of course, we love our amazing readers — thanks for helping to make this site just Dandy!  🙂

Although our weather has still been in the high 80s with lots of humidity, there’s just something different about the season — we’ve all but put away our beach toys and have pulled out soups and pumpkin recipes in anticipation for fall’s arrival.  I’ve loved (finally!) living in a location that has four seasons over the past couple of years, and I’ve determined that I LOVE autumn time for the food, the holidays, and the clothes.

I loved perusing the Stella B. website with its unique items and boutique feel, and I had a difficult time narrowing down my large list of “must-haves” to just a handful of favorites.  Stella B. buys their items in limited qualities to ensure that your individual style is one-of-a-kind, and it also means that the inventory is changing all the time — one of my favorite things about these online boutique shops!

Here are some of my favorites from Stella B. for the fall:

Dresses:  Coral Color blocked Hi-Lo Dress

**It’s taken me some time to try out the coral color since I wasn’t sure that I could pull it off with my blonde hair, but I really have loved adding this pop of color into my wardrobe.  I love this model’s choice of accessories that transitions this outfit from summer into fall.

Accessories:  Love Belt Buckle Bracelet- Silver

**So, so cute!!  I love that this bracelet could be worn by anyone and doesn’t look too “cowboy” in style.  It’s a cute piece that draws attention without taking away from the rest of the outfit.

Game Day Collection:   “Roll Tide” Houndstooth Game Day Bow Back Dress

**Loving, loving the houndstooth look that I’ve already seen for this season, and this dress from the Game Day Collection could be worn in a number of ways throughout the year that wouldn’t scream “Alabama!”, unless, of course, you wanted it to.  😉

Tops:  Coral Crush Ombre Top

**Again, my new-found love with the coral color, only this time with the added ombre style — I love that this material is flowy and looks scarf-like, lending to lots of layering fun.

Personalized Pretties:  Ultimate Chevron Carry-All

**I absolutely LOVE this Ultimate Chevron Carry-All!  It reminds me of the bags that I’ve seen from other large companies, but the ones at Stella B. are less than half their price – these are only $28!!

Black Maxi Skirt

**I received this item to review from Stella B., and I LOVE the material and that these maxi skirts have so many uses throughout the entire year!  I have lived in maxi skirts this summer while I’ve been pregnant, and I can’t imagine my wardrobe without them year-round — the skirt was a little long for me (I just barely make it over five feet tall!), but it fits just fine when I fold down the band, even with flats.  I’m especially happy for the band around the middle since my post-baby bump in the next few months will not be nearly as much fun to dress as the baby bump has been over the past few months.

Well, hello, summer!  We had an amazing Memorial Day weekend with gorgeous weather, a couple of barbeques, late nights outside eating popsicles and watching the boys play, and even a camping trip with some friends.

While I’m very much looking forward to trips to the beach, playing the swimming pool, and watching baseball games over the next few months, I’m definitely anxious for the hot, humid, summer heat from coastal North Carolina.  We’ve been through two summers here already, and I’m not sure if that prepares me or just scares me for what’s to come.  And, even worse, I’ll be in my third trimester expecting a September baby through the thick of it all.

I kept most of my summer maternity clothes that I wore when I lived in southern California (also in my third trimester expecting a September baby in the dry, 110+ degree Mojave Desert heat — remind me not to do this again!), but most of those clothes were dressy since I worked through my entire first pregnancy.  Literally.  As in, I started maternity leave on Monday and had my baby on Tuesday.

I desperately needed a few new pieces of maternity clothing that would be more versatile for the mom-of-two-young-boys job that I have now, and I was thrilled at the chance to review for PinkBlush Maternity!  You might remember the maxi dress that Camille reviewed a couple of months ago?  Well, I’m also convinced that the stretchy maxi skirt material is perfect not just for maternity wear but for postpartum/nursing and even when I’m not pregnant at all!

This Burgundy Striped Maternity Maxi Skirt is amazing!  I love the stretchy material that will no doubt fit in a couple of months when I’m bigger but that I could have easily worn a couple of months ago when I first found out I was expecting.  The panel is wide with great support, and it can be adjusted to make the skirt longer or shorter as needed.  Here are a few other pieces of trendy maternity clothes that I’ve had my eye on:

Tops:  Brown Multi-Colored Fitted Maternity Top

Dresses:  Basic Black Maternity/Nursing Dress

Activewear:  Fuchsia Waistband Maternity Yoga Pants

Bottoms:  Black Maternity Bermuda Shorts

Nursingwear:  Light Grey Button Front Maternity/Nursing Tank Top

POSHTOP skirts {Giveaway} – CLOSED

Remember those beautiful tops from POSHTOP I told you about a couple weeks ago?  (You can read that review HERE). And remember how I mentioned that they have the most beautiful lace skirts?  I am so excited to tell you more about them!

These skirts are just exquisite!  They are lined with their silky sold stretch micro fiber, fully opaque, and available in two lengths: below the knee, and full-length maxi.  They come in black lace over sand, or black lace over black lining.

Today’s hemlines are creeping up higher and higher these days.  The typical dress bought in a boutique or department store falls somewhere mid-thigh, which is usually embarrassingly too high for my taste.  I’m quite a shorty, and I still have trouble finding skirts that reach to my knees.  This beautiful knee-length skirt from POSHTOP is so lovely and perfectly modest, in a length that is so hard to find.

Often I try to avoid the whole at-the-knee/above-the-knee battle and just go for the oh-so-popular maxi skirt.  The POSHTOP maxi has yards of dreamy lace that looks so vintage and luxurious!  I feel like a million bucks wearing one of these!  My skirt got so many compliments at church last Sunday!  Even though the lace looks delicate, the skirt is quite durable, and can handle my boys crawling in and out of my lap all during church without a snag.  I appreciate that it doesn’t have a heavy weight for all those yards of lovely fabric, and it is so silky soft inside.

I feel like these skirts could be appropriate in so many settings.  They are dressy enough to wear to a formal event, but they could also be perfect in a business casual workplace.  I can’t wait to wear this to my husband’s grand work Christmas party downtown this year!

My favorite feature of the POSHTOP skirts is that they are machine washable (on delicate), and that they don’t show wrinkles, so they would surely travel well.  I literally took this skirt out of the bag and put it on.  No ironing involved, no wrinkles, no funky creases or pulls on the lace.  Plus, the elastic waistband makes this a go-to skirt during all of those transition times of weight gaining and losing because it will always look great on you.

Don’t miss out on any POSHTOP news or sales by joining their mailing list HERE, at the bottom right of the page.  Follow them on FACEBOOK and TWITTER!

Beautiful, beautiful!  And one lucky winner is about to receive their own skirt from POSHTOP!  Knee-length or maxi, and black lace on black, or black lace on sand!
