The maxi skirt.  Closet staple.  Girl’s best friend.  Always a good choice, regardless of the season.

Let me introduce you to some terrific maxi skirts and shorter skirts from Micadyn Nicole!

Now what’s even more fantastic than a comfortable maxi skirt in a fantastic print and cut?  A MATCHING one for you and your daughter!  Check out these cute sets:

I was tickled to work with Micadyn Nicole and review one of their skirts.  I had a hard time deciding, but was quickly drawn to this Aztec print.  I didn’t really embrace this print trend for a while, but lately I can’t get enough of it.  I’ve decided its just so vibrant and fun!

Now I am often categorizing my closet by season and it bugs me that usually half my wardrobe isn’t really weather-appropriate for the temperature or the upcoming holiday.  The great thing about this skirt, in my opinion, is that it is very summery as WELL as being perfect for winter!  Think warm Arizona, and Norwegian Christmas, and it works for both.  I can’t wait to wear this all Christmas season!

When it comes to my kid’s clothing I’m kind of a fabric snob.  It has to be soft.  Scratchy?  Not happening.  It has to be functional and easy to take care of in terms of laundry.  Who really wants to take the kid’s clothes to the dry cleaners?  It has to be cute.  This means cute fabric that aren’t found everywhere.  That’s why I’m soooo very glad that I found Nohi Kids.  For starters… Their clothing is organic.  Translation:  Super soft.  Next… Their clothing is machine washable.  Excellent!  Lastly… The prints on the fabric???  Absolutely.  Adorable.

I think the above images are my favorite part about the clothing from Nohi.

And…

2.) There are so many different styles all in that same fabric!

So you will definitely find the perfect outfit at Nohi Kids.

Mika Yoga Wear {Giveaway} – CLOSED

Disclosure: This could be a sponsored post or contain affiliate links (which means I earn a percentage of the sale), but all opinions are strictly my own.

Welcome to the Spring Sweeping Giveaway Hop, hosted by the Blogging Mamas Network!  Take the next two weeks to sweep along the fabulous giveaways that a group of bloggers have come together to offer you!  At the bottom of this post, be sure to hop around to all the giveaways in the linky below, and just maybe the Grand Prize of a Shark® Lift Away Vacuum, from Brylane Home, will get someone in the Spring Cleaning mood!  You can enter the Grand Prize here.

So ladies!  Don’t cute workout clothes fuel the fire to hit the gym?!  I can’t believe how much more excited I am about sweatin’ it out on the elliptical when I’m wearing something slick and far from frumpy, which would accurately describe the huge majority of my current gym clothes collection.mika_sponser_uspdfReady to see some of the greatest yoga wear I’ve come across in a long time?  Hello, Mika Yoga Wear.

Untitled-2Gorgeous colors, beautiful styles, unique features, and premium fabrics.  If you’re a yoga-nut or into pole-fitness, hit this place up!  Though Mika was some superbly unique tops that flatter and support, I want to show off a really excellent pair of pants, capris, and shorts.

IMG_0075I was sent the Sofia Short ($44), Aerial Capri ($52), and Kaya Legging ($54).  Each of them are winners, and worth every penny.

red4

Let’s start with these leggings.  I generally don’t like to feel squeezed inside my leggings, so I got a size L/XL, and they feel great.  Still form-fitting, but plenty long and not biting into the chub around my waist.  The support is great and the fabric is smooth and moisture-wicking.  These have four-way stretch and a 28 1/2″ inseam.  If you’re a shorty like me, you can see how comfortably these can wrap around your heels.  What’s also great about these leggings is that you could wear these outside the gym with a pair of boots like regular leggings.  They aren’t shiny and they don’t scream “workout gear”, so they’re only more versatile than you thought.

red5

Next up are these beautiful aerial capris.  This blackberry/lemon combination is so pretty!  I chose size M/L, and I kind of wish I went up a size again, because the only thing on my wish list regarding these capris is that the waistband was a little higher/wider, but this is coming from the girl with miles of extra sagging stomach skin and no abdominals to keep them in there :).  They fall at a great place below the knee, and as with all Mika Yoga Wear items, there are flat seams that don’t rub or irritate you while you’re moving around every direction.

purple

And now my FAVORITE shorts of all time!  I really click with these Sofia Shorts.  First of all, the colors (Peacock/Goddess) are beautiful, but the cut is really what I love.  The way the hem dips really accentuates any leg muscles, or making even stick legs look amazing.  I’d love to wear these biking or boating.  Ooo, these would be great for white water rafting so the tops of your thighs don’t get sunburned!

blue7

The double-lined 4 1/2″ waistband provides excellent midsection support.  Love my stretch marks?

blue6You can get these in black or there are a few more pairs of these in the Peacock/Goddess color for $30.80.

blue9I’m so happy with these.  I’ve been wearing nothing but my Mika wear for weeks now, and they hold up great through multiple washes.  Check out their store and follow them below:

24/7 Frenzy {Giveaway} – CLOSED

Disclosure: This could be a sponsored post or contain affiliate links (which means I earn a percentage of the sale), but all opinions are strictly my own.

I am in love with Valentine’s Day!!  You’d think, after years and years of dreading the day that everyone else had a bouquet of roses delivered and a giant stuffed teddy to carry around at school, that I’d be a hater, but I can’t help falling in love with the idea of being in love!  Now that I have a live-in Valentine and two little sweethearts to love on, I am even more aglow with rosy Valentine feelings and urges to cut out strands of paper hearts and glue together glittery cards!

logoSo what are YOU doing for Valentine’s day?  Do you need a dress for your date night?  24/7 Frenzy has an entire collection of little black dresses, perfect for impressing your sweetheart and looking glam out on the town.

index12453 19168 4901 31540

Besides LBD’s, 24/7 Frenzy has an extensive collection of casual dresses, tops, fun rompers, and an impressive number of lacy sleepwear items.  I picked out a pair of something lacy for myself, a microfiber cami and short set, crossdyed and detailed with rosettes.  I found the top to be the perfect type of cami for under button-ups.  Just a little lace to look fancy, while not too sheer or cheap.

IMG_9502IMG_9668

Most of the 24/7 Frenzy items range from $40-$50, but you can get free shipping on orders over $100.  For orders under $100, shipping is a flat rate of only $6.99.  Besides clothing, there are also a number of pieces of jewelry I could wear every day:

Wantable Personalized Boxes {Review}

Disclosure: This could be a sponsored post or contain affiliate links (which means I earn a percentage of the sale), but all opinions are strictly my own.

Based on my raving reviews and intense love for Wantable‘s Accessories Boxes (see my previous reviews HERE and HERE), I was as excited and intrigued as ever to review an Intimates box!
Wantable-LogoJust like you can get a customized box of jewelry you love based on your preferences, style, ‘likes’ and ‘loves’, you can also create a box of intimates that can include loungewear, hosiery, accessories, tanks, tights/leggings, panties, camis, socks, shapewear, and soft bras!  With the intimates box, you are getting 4-5 items, instead of their typical 3-4 for jewelry.
IMG_8536
This kind of consumed my thoughts for days and days!  What would I get?!  Of course, I’d love everything, but what would be inside?!
 IMG_8543
Well, it was another box of winners!  As expected.  Wantable knows me so well.  In my box was a Jockey hip huggers teal panty, black Coobie soft bra, Kix’ies fashion black thigh highs, and gray rib Muk Lux tights!
IMG_8547 IMG_8551
Every girl loves a little lace in their dresser!  This was the perfect combination of cozy and lacy, and all things I will definitely wear and love.
IMG_8552
As you can see, the value of this box is almost $72, so paying $36 for a monthly subscription is well worth it.  My favorite item is the hosiery–a sophisticated version of fishnets, with class and finesse!  I also really love that they are thigh-highs.  Totally hot.
IMG_8673
Wantable, I love you.  I want to continue our relationship of me being dazzled every month.  Ladies, you’ve got to try one of these Wantable boxes.  You can order your December box today, and pop it right under the Christmas tree!
Check out Wantable and follow along:

Taylor Joelle Designs {Giveaway} – CLOSED

Disclosure: This could be a sponsored post or contain affiliate links (which means I earn a percentage of the sale), but all opinions are strictly my own.

A friend of mine was recently on the local news showing off some of her favorite hassle-free items for moms.  I thought they were all pretty cool, but I wondered how the last item would fit in.  The last item was a cute knit hat that didn’t necessarily make going out with baby less of a hassle, but as she put it, sometimes its easier to be more patient with our kids when they are dressed cute!  True?

tjlogoGuilty.  Its just so hard to lose your cool when your little human is dressed like a baby model!  This would be motivation enough for me to always dress my kids to the nines, and if I could dress them entirely in Taylor Joelle outfits, I’m sure I could never get upset with them!

greenWhat makes their clothing line so fabulous is their top quality fabrics and chic designs.  Like a good quilt, every piece of Taylor Joelle looks perfectly put together with time, thought, and a personal hand-made touch.

ss-home-52Taylor Joelle has stunning collections that are so perfectly coordinating, you could buy one of everything in that collection and have your children’s wardrobe covered for your next family pictures.  Done.

brown

I’ve been a huge fan of Taylor Joelle Designs since I reviewed a little girls dress for them back in January.  I love how they are often introducing new collections.  The latest is a favorite of mine!

collectionThe Black Tie Collection is full of black, white, and bows!  My wedding in a nutshell, haha!  These colors are so creamy and the black bow will always be a classic.

blacktie

We reviewed the Bow Top (sold for $28) and the Mint Tutu with Bow Leggings (sold for $40), and I had the best baby model to help me out!

bow

I LOVE this ensemble!  Can I have those leggings in my size?  The tutu is soft and not at all a scratchy tulle, and the multiple layers are great for twirling.

bow3Truly, this top could go with anything (any print, any color), and I like how the tutu is attached to the leggings so there are not multiple layers to get tangled up in.  The bright mint color makes this perfect for holiday pictures!

So stinkin cute, right?!  Would you love to get your hands on something cute from Taylor Joelle?

Bazzle Baby {Giveaway} – CLOSED

Disclosure: This could be a sponsored post or contain affiliate links (which means I earn a percentage of the sale), but all opinions are strictly my own.

Print

My first child wanted nothing to do with a pacifier.  My second is rarely seen without one.  He is attached to it like an old man and his eyeglass or pocket-watch, the way we have to tether it to him so he won’t lose it!  Doom on the parent who has to put the baby to bed and can’t find the binky.  The first binky clip we got was from a dear friend (thanks Chappy!) and he has completely worn it to threads!  This is after hours and hours and hours of love!

IMG_3866

Yup, time for a new one!  Also, take note of all the drool dripping down his chest.  Its a big problem lately.  I’m having to change his clothes throughout the day just so that he’ll have a dry shirt.  Two problems where Bazzle Baby came to our rescue!  Everything they sent me was EXACTLY what we needed around here!

IMG_4186 copy

Tan-ta-ra!  The Banda Bib and Paci Clip!  This Banda Bib rocks.  It catches that drool like a boss.

Print

When I first saw these online, I thought I could easily make one myself, but after handling this Bazzle Baby product, I see the superior features that make this well worth the cost of just buying it for $12.  This is not just a bandana.  These have a very strong and sturdy velcro fasten behind the neck that is adjustable, and a soft terry lining behind.  They are sewn very well, and can hold up to a lot of wear and washings.

baz3

Good velcro is so important when you have a baby who likes to rip things off his neck!  I can’t keep a bib on “Little Brother” for the life of me, but he must find these comfortable or not worth the exertion of pulling it off, because he will leave these well enough alone.  I think he prefers to wear them, actually.  Cool.

baz2

Also, behind the colorful fabric is a layer of soft, absorbent terry cloth.  Look at all this drool it is catching!!  Halfway through the day, I’ve been switching out his bib for a clean one, and his shirt is completely dry underneath!

IMG_4234

Get two or three of these–they’re saving me heaps of laundry!  He’s been wearing these non-stop, even during his naps, and he seems much more comfortable throughout the day.

baz1

We also received two Paci Clips–they are so cute and functional!  The length is just right on these–not too long to dangle out of baby’s reach, but long enough to clip nearly anywhere and still not get yanked out of his mouth.  The grosgrain ribbon is a terrific choice, and the edge details are darling.  These start at $5.50?!  Definitely worth it.  Here are some other way cute styles:

baz4

Check out Bazzle Baby for even more cute baby necessities like Big Bibs, Bitsy Bibs, burpers, socks, hats, leggings, etc.!
