I recently jumped on the tablet band wagon.  Prior to making the leap I owned an e-reader and became a huge fan of reading that way.  I love to read, own lots of book, but found that I can read much faster one a digital device.  With my busy schedule this gives me the ability to actually finish the books again!  🙂  For the longest time I wouldn’t get the opportunity to finish reading, because it would take me so long to get through it.  Does anyone else have this problem?  I can’t be the only one, right?  Or maybe I just royally embarrassed myself by revealing my slow reading skills?  😉   Regardless I’m happy with my decision to purchase a Kindle Fire, because I LOVE it.  When looking for a case for it I looked no further than the ones available at rooCASE.  The cases aren’t just nice looking and high quality, but also are thin.  Making the cases fantastic since they are not big and bulky!  My friends over at rooCase actually sent me a couple of cases to try out.

The Origami Dual-View:

And…

The Ultra-Slim:

Both cases are fabulous, but I think my favorite is the Ultra-Slim.  It’s more simple than the Origami, but I’m a simple kinda gal.  🙂  The Ultra-Slim provides just the right amount of protection and when closed resembles a small folder.  Perfect for transporting your Kindle Fire anywhere.  And I absolutely love the green color!  All of the cases by rooCASE are made from Vegan Synthetic leather.  Plus, each has a micro suede interior to protect your Kindle.  There are also a variety of colors to choose from:  Black, Green, Magenta, Purple, and Red.  So definitely a color to match any mood or preference.

Check out all the different specifics and angles the cases can be folded in:

I’m not the type to run out and buy the newest item the weekend it comes out – I like to research, read reviews, and find items on sale or (even better) on clearance.  I love the thrill of getting a good deal and feeling like I got a quality product for the best price possible.

Then the Kindle Fire came out.

I don’t know what happened, but I wanted the Kindle Fire under my Christmas tree last year more than anything else.  I loved the idea of reading books, playing games, watching movies, playing on the internet, and checking my e-mail.  But, as a bonus, I wanted to have something to stick in my purse and have ready to keep my boys quiet as needed.

Yes, really.

Well, my practical side won out, and I waited until my birthday in April to get my Kindle Fire (for an amazing deal, I’ll have you know).  When it came, I immediately started playing with it and loved everything about it.  My boys love it, and my husband loves it.  Taking it in my purse as it was, though, wasn’t a very good idea as it stood — I needed a case to make sure that it would stay intact.

The Snugg sent me an amazing case to try for my Kindle Fire, and I love it!  It’s not a large case, so it can easily fit in my purse without feeling bulky or taking up too much room.  It has a great stand on the back so I can watch Downton Abbey from my nightstand while everyone else in the house sleeps.  Yes, really.

The Snugg also has other innovative cases for your iPad

your tablet

your iPhone

and your iPod Nano

Head on over to The Snugg and take a look around to find something to add to your holiday shopping list — you’ll be happy with anything they have!

I just bought myself a laptop!  The last laptop I bought was in 2005 and it got me through three years of college.  Compared to today’s standards, it was a dinosaur, but I loved it, and I named it Patty the Lappy.  This new little gal is named Patty II, and she’s a cute little thing.  As soon as I got her, I started looking for a case or sleeve to tote her around in, since I want it to last a long time.  (And also because my husband likes to steal it).  In my searching, I found this Etsy shop called NipponEki with some fabulously chic handmade sleeves for Macbook Pro, iPad, Kindle, Nook, Nexus, and iPhone!  They are charming!  I want one of each!  Here are some of my favorite Macbook sleeves:

And iPhone case protectors:

And covers for Kindles, Nooks, and other eReaders:

All these covers are durable and so unique!  They have soft fleece padding so your precious toys are safe from scratches, bumps and smudges while they’re being taken from place to place.  Wouldn’t these be a perfect gift for a college student or even your mother who is getting a new eReader for Christmas?

NipponEki is happy to make custom orders, which can be made in 6 days!  In fact, NipponEki is making me a custom laptop sleeve right now, and I couldn’t be more excited!

Here is an exciting deal from NipponEki!  If you buy a Macbook Sleeve, use the code freeiphone at checkout, and you’ve receive free shipping AND a free iPhone sleeve (picked at random)!!

Visit the NipponEki Etsy shop HERE, follow them on Facebook HERE, and on Twitter HERE.
