Spring Foot Covers from Kushyfoot {Giveaway} – CLOSED

Disclosure: This could be a sponsored post or contain affiliate links (which means I earn a percentage of the sale), but all opinions are strictly my own.

By chance, did you give or get socks last Christmas?  I swear, it was like the hot item of the holidays for adults.  All the men in my life are into these funky designs and unexpected colors for their socks.  I think it stems from them generally having a limited number of ways to accessorize.  Regardless, its been fun to see socks become high on the ‘want’ list, because I likewise think they’re a fun thing to get in to.  Especially the new line of spring socks from Kushyfoot!

Kushyfoot-LogoJust look at this spoil!  This is the Kushyfoot Spring 2014 collection which highlights more than 20 rockin’ styles and colors, and they sent me a sample to review.  The great part about this collection is that the whole footwear spectrum is addressed.  Whether your shoes are high, low, peep toe, sporty or dressy, you’ve got something to keep your feet covered.

IMG_0414Let’s start on the far left with the Ultra Low Cut foot covers, sold as a two-pack.   Note how very low cut these actually are in person.  There is nothing more gross to me than seeing ugly foot covers spill out over top otherwise beautiful heels.  Sure, you can see a pink outline in my Madden Girls, but I totally don’t mind.

pinkThese are totally comfortable, and these polka dots are darling.  That gray dot with the scallop trim around the edges?!  Goodness, do your feet a favor and avoid settling for those tan, generic covers that look sanitary disposables in shoe stores and get these extremely adorable ones.  Notice the dome-shaped padding sewn in to every pair.  Hence the ‘cushy’ part of ‘kushyfoot’.

IMG_0421
Now, I know the elastic looks biting, but it is very stretchy and it doesn’t lie along any pressure points.  Still, I think these are just right for my size 6.5 feet, and that size 8 girls might find these a little too small.  Good thing Kushyfoot now carries larger sizes.  More on that below.  Next in the line-up are the Extreme Low Cut foot covers, also sold as a two-pack.
IMG_0432
Extreme low cut?  Its true.  These are about the lowest cut you can get and still stay on your feet.  The packaging says, “Sides so low, they never show”, and they are totally justified in claiming that.  They totally disappear.  However, with lace this pretty, maybe that wouldn’t be so bad.
IMG_0437
Next up is a most exciting new item called the Sheer Fashion Anklet.  I think these are excellent with trousers or slacks, especially for those who are grossed out with knee-highs.
IMG_0423 The sheer is pretty, the ankle cuff is thick and supportive without being binding, and per typical of kushyfoot products, they have that awesome chevron textured ribbing on the underside for added comfort, as well as for keeping them stationary inside slippery shoes.
sheer
Then we have the Sport Foot Cover!
IMG_0441
Now I’m a BIG fan of these sport foot covers.  Socks with gym shoes is a total must, and these are practically invisible.  Notice how the top is made from a mesh material that allows for ventilation.  The grippies on the inside of the heel and the extra lip on the back keep your socks in place no matter how active you get.  Besides that, they are comfy, comfy.  Stretchy in all directions and made of a very soft knit.
sport2
And here we have the Super Ultra Low Cut foot covers in size Regular and Large.
IMG_0448Now with all these superlatives, its hard to know which is the MOST low cut just from the descriptions, but as you can probably guess, these are pretty low too.  No show in the front, regardless of your shoe style as long as it is close-toed, but you might see a hint on the side.  I love the all-lace toe, with the added benefit of a full sole and of course, the kushyfoot padded trademark on the bottom.
IMG_0455
And last but not least, here are the Toe Covers.  TOE covers, not foot covers.  Kind of weird.  The picture shows these being worn with open-back slippers, which I get, but then the clear elastic still shows along your heel.  Perhaps these are ideal with sling back/close-toed shoes?  I’m sure there is a perfect shoe out there for these toe covers, but I’m still kind of stumped.  Regardless of their intended function, they’re comfortable, roomy, and sheer-ly beautiful.
cover
Now, note that all of these are reasonably priced and nothing you see is over $10.  Also new is the pair of foot covers for larger feet sizes.  Believably, the average foot size has grown from a size 8 to a size 9, so Kushyfoot is rolling with the trends and following suit.  I’m also loving the additional skin tones that are making these more appealing to a larger number of women.

Again, these are so affordable, ranging from $3.99 to $9.99 retail.  Kushyfoot products (and there are over 50 styles) include Flats to Go®, tights, trouser socks, anklets/crews, foot and toe covers, shoe cushions, sport socks (including pedicure and yoga socks) and home/dorm socks, as well as men’s socks and liners.  They’ve got you covered.  Literally.

Well, winter has finally hit Boston.  There is nothing like a New England Autumn in all its leafy splendor.  October, November, and most of December were simply glorious in color and temperature, but yesterday was the first snowfall.  The sign of the beginning of the next six months of winter, where the sun goes down at 3:30pm and you avoid going outside at all costs.  All I wanted to tackle yesterday was a trip to the gym and a visit to the post office to ship some Christmas presents.  With two boys in tow and slush up to my ankles, I decided that I will never ever leave the house without decent snowboots until April.  Ya, I thought Fall was boot season, but this is BOOT season.

bootights_1_1

So what do you where under your boots, might I ask?  When you wear boots with tights or leggings, is that enough?  If you’re like me, you might wear extra socks, but they don’t always allow my feet to breathe well, and they add a lot of bulk inside my boots.  Well, have you heard of Bootights?  They’re tights for boots, and what makes them different is what you can’t see from here: the attached performance sock at the foot of the durable tights that is made of moisture-wicking fibers to keep feet cool and dry.

IMG_8493

I reviewed a pair of Essentials 201 Ankle in Heather.  See, the ankle sock is attached so you only have to put on one thing.  In a pair of boots, no one sees the sock, and my feet are cozy and comfy inside.

IMG_8509

Of course, the sock is comfortable, but so are the rest of the tights.  Nice control, support, and texture.  They are thick enough to be warm, but they don’t add bulk to your legs and after wearing them several times, there is no hint of unthreading or snagging.

IMG_8510 This company claims that these are the only tights designed especially for boots, and these socks and tights are designed by Shelby Mason, 100% made in the USA.  They sell a variety of colors, styles, and designs, as well as Darby’s (which are specifically socks and not tights) as well as Sport style.

You can purchase Bootights for $30-$40 at many retailers like Brooks Brothers, NiemanMarcus.com, Nordstrom.com, etc.

One winner will receive a pair of Bootights–the Essentials 201 Ankle in Heather–in your size!  Retails for $32.

Based on my raving reviews and intense love for Wantable‘s Accessories Boxes (see my previous reviews HERE and HERE), I was as excited and intrigued as ever to review an Intimates box!
Wantable-LogoJust like you can get a customized box of jewelry you love based on your preferences, style, ‘likes’ and ‘loves’, you can also create a box of intimates that can include loungewear, hosiery, accessories, tanks, tights/leggings, panties, camis, socks, shapewear, and soft bras!  With the intimates box, you are getting 4-5 items, instead of their typical 3-4 for jewelry.
IMG_8536
This kind of consumed my thoughts for days and days!  What would I get?!  Of course, I’d love everything, but what would be inside?!
 IMG_8543
Well, it was another box of winners!  As expected.  Wantable knows me so well.  In my box was a Jockey hip huggers teal panty, black Coobie soft bra, Kix’ies fashion black thigh highs, and gray rib Muk Lux tights!
IMG_8547 IMG_8551
Every girl loves a little lace in their dresser!  This was the perfect combination of cozy and lacy, and all things I will definitely wear and love.
IMG_8552
As you can see, the value of this box is almost $72, so paying $36 for a monthly subscription is well worth it.  My favorite item is the hosiery–a sophisticated version of fishnets, with class and finesse!  I also really love that they are thigh-highs.  Totally hot.

Wantable, I love you.  I want to continue our relationship of me being dazzled every month.  Ladies, you’ve got to try one of these Wantable boxes.  You can order your December box today, and pop it right under the Christmas tree!

My junior high years are filled with drawers of holiday-themed and loudly printed socks.  Those super cute dollar store socks are so fun, but let’s be honest, they don’t hold up well.  A few washes and wears later, and they’ve got holes and are covered in pills.   Now that I’m supposed to be dressing like a grown-up, I need socks and tights that are comfortable and will hold up after a few washings.  I’ve found some great socks and tights that are doing just that:

Kushyfoot-LogoI reviewed several of their cute and cozy foot covers a few months ago, so I already knew I’d love what else kushyfoot has in store.  Again, I was impressed and pleased.  First off, I think their packaging is just so cute!

IMG_7793This time I reviewed their shaping tights, fleece trouser socks, and a pair of microfiber crew.  First let me show off the tights:

blackThese are SHAPERs!  Let me tell you.  I’ve never felt so compressed by a pair of tights ever.  While putting them on, it felt like I had ordered the wrong size, but once snuggly inside, I felt compressed, put together, and very shapely.  Instead of feeling restricting, I found them really comfortable and even after wearing them church, I left them on all day, which says a lot, seeing as tights are usually the very first thing that come off when I walk in the door.  I like that they are opaque with just a hint of sheer without adding any bulk to my legs.  The compression around the stomach and butt is impressive.  I’ll definitely be keeping these around.

Next up are the Microfiber Crews:

3492 Microfiber Crew_2

Notice the wavy textures on the soles that help to keep them in place and provide a little ‘cush’ in your step.  I wore these with my cowboy boots to our Halloween Party last weekend.  Totally comfortable while still being nice and thin.  These are great at not adding bulk to your shoes or boots that are a perfect fit.  They stay up nicely and are super soft.

IMG_8184

And then there’s the fleece trouser socks.

IMG_8048 Holy cow.  Its like they’ve taken a pair of socks and lined them entirely with a soft sweatshirt.  I don’t know how they’ve done it, but these are the coziest, warmest, most wonderful socks for the inside of boots or just to keep your calves warm under dress pants on a cold day.

Are we all in agreement and utter relief that SPRING IS FINALLY HERE?!  Glory, its been a long winter.  There are way too many exciting things to do outside in Boston to stay cooped up inside for that long.  The first gloriously beautiful day around here was two weeks ago.  73 degrees outside, and we were all under lock-down while the manhunt ensued for the Boston Marathon bombers.  We were all bouncing off the walls at home, dying to bask in the new season that finally decided to show up.logo

Something about spring makes me feel like shopping!  Its much more fun to get new shorts, new sandals, and new sundresses instead of pulling out last year’s boxes and shaking out last year’s trends.  I’m excited to show you a few of the flowery Spring/Summer dresses from 24/7 Frenzy and hopefully instill in you the same Spring-shopping feelings that I’m getting!

24-7 Frenzy is a fun shop of all sorts of clothes, from dresses, tops, skirts and pants, to even hosiery and sleepwear.  I myself picked out a pair of gray sweatpants, since honestly, sweatpants are what I’m wearing 50% of my waking hours, I figure they might has well be cute.  Don’t tell my husband I actually don’t get dressed till well after noon most days.  My favorite features on these pants, and what makes them a cut above others, are the piping that goes down the front seams, the strong waistband, and especially the zippered side pockets.  I feel a little more sporty and a little less grunge when I wear these around the house 🙂

Style experts at 24/7 Frenzy handpick what items to carry, and after searching the whole store over, I don’t think I found anything over $49.99.  There is such a variety of clothing in stock, from dressy to casual, with some fun trends and colors.  These are some other favorites I found at 24-7 Frenzy:
