Where giveaways are just dandy!
I am getting addicted to these home design magazines that come out with a new palette of beautiful colors, designs, prints, and styles every month. It makes me want to get up and move immediately so that I can start fresh with blank walls, new spaces, and fresh ideas. Considering logistics, and of course, a budget and reality, this isn’t gonna happen, but there is still a lot that anyone can do to liven up the place a little. Especially when it comes to your bedroom. With only one room to redesign, and usually a limited number of furniture pieces and windows to address, its EASY to create a whole new space in a matter of hours.
Starting and ending at Brylane Home is the best way to go. Their new collections of bed sets, sheets, comforters, blankets, and throws are beautiful, functional, simple and affordable. Check out these lovely bedding sets! They carry solids, prints, florals, geometric designs, pastels, etc. and all in the full variety of sizes — twin through king.
Brylane Home sent me the BrylaneHome® Studio Quilted Bedspread in Yellow/Grey. This bedspread is reversible, meaning more options! I could go gray or yellow depending on the mood and season. I’m thinking grey for winter and yellow for spring! Perfect!
This diagonal quilting is beautiful! Simple and modern, clean and not too feminine. As all bedding should be, these spreads are machine washable, and made out of polyester, which is a very strong fiber that is resistant to sun-fade. The batting is thick, the fabric is smooth to the touch, and the pile is fluffy. I bet one round through the dryer would fluff it up even more. Because of the close quilting, I imagine this is one of those items that only looks better the more times you wash it.
We ordered a King size ($64.99), which measures 120†x 118â€. We sleep on a Queen size bed, but a King is definitely in the future, and we like having a lot of extra comforter space on both sides of the bed. Less fights over covers. Believe me.
Before: mod-podge, bland, no theme or color scheme
After:Â HOLY COW what a difference!
I love it. This was the easiest transformation, and it looks so refreshing! I couldn’t wait to see my husband’s face when he walked in and saw a totally new bedroom. He didn’t think it was half bad! Especially for being worried that that colors together were too babyish. I think the navy really brings it all together. We did still have to sleep with more blankets and quilts underneath at night, as usual, but our room is an uninsulated ice cube, so I wasn’t really surprised. This comforter is quite thick and warm, just not enough to go solo quite yet. Maybe next month.
This quilted bedspread comes in some beautiful color combinations, all perfect for a quick and easy (and affordable) room makeover.
…and while you’re there, check out all the coordinating quilted shams, pillow cases, bed sheets, pillows and throws!

As much as I love seeing my little boys grow up into bigger boys, I really don’t like the idea of it! Of course, there are times I’d wish they’d grow up, but most of the time, I wish they would stay small forever, as tiny little babies. :) “Rocket” is growing like a weed, and he’s headed for a real twin size bed pretty soon. Especially if a third comes along and kicks “Little Brother” out of his crib. I’ve been looking at cute bedding sets that are fun for boys while being not too cutesy or too ‘baby’, but also not smothered in some TV show character.
One Grace Place carries a number of bedding sets with just these requirements of mine. Cute, functional, and fun for kids, while still looking a little classy and luxurious at the same time. Look at all these darling bed sets!
We were sent a Teyo’s Tires 3-piece bedding set (but really, there were 5 pieces in the bag) to review, and we were so excited to dress up a bed with all the pieces! This is a FUN collection!
Included was the comforter, bed sheet, dust ruffle, pillow sham, and wall decals.
Luxury, luxury. The fantastic thing about this set (and most of the bedding sets from One Grace Place) is that my boy could grow up with this set. Its cool for a 3-year-old, and its probably still cool for a 12-year-old. There’s nothing ‘baby’ about it, but its also not too mature.
Everything about this set is high-quality. I LOVE how the comforter is lined in the bright orange minky. It is soft and thick, and reversible to a checker print. The bed sheet is sturdy and the bed skirt, printed with tire tread, is so fun!! What boy wouldn’t love this?!
Also included in our bundle was this sheet of wall decals! The One Grace Place collections are full of additional items like this that really bring the room together and save you from doing a lot of hunting yourself. Along the Teyo’s Tires theme, there is a rug, minky blanket, burp cloths, crib bumpers, diaper stackers, a growth chart decal, etc.
They really do a great job of putting collections together.
The Teyo’s Tires 3-piece set sells on Amazon for around $118, and includes the twin comforter, bed skirt, and pillow sham.
If you’re dressing up a room, moving a toddler into a ‘big kid’ room, or welcoming a new baby in near future, consider One Grace Place and their darling bedding collections!
