I’m so very glad that it decided to turn chilly around here again.  Not.  Will this winter ever end???  Okay so I just might be exaggerating slightly.  It’s not like it’s snowing outside or anything.  It’s not exactly freezing.  Okay it’s only in the 40’s right now here in St. Louis today.  But that’s cold, right?  It should NEVER be in the 40’s in April.  At least not in the Lou!  Good thing toADORN sent this monkey hat for Banjo.  He has been able to wear it.  In APRIL.

IMG_8966.pngIt’s super cute though, right?

Here’s to hoping he won’t be wearing it in May.  😉

We are freezing in Boston!  Dying!!  I am so done with all this snow that is never going to melt, neighbors being territorial over their street parking spaces, the bitter cold, and gas bills out the roof.  I think my attention to the weather becomes more deliberate and my hatred for the cold more intense with every child.  The only thing worse than being cold outside is knowing that your tiny baby is just as cold, or colder.  Their tiny little limbs and fingers just can’t hold heat as well as us adults, and I worry the entire outdoor journey about their well-being.  I think I can finally rest assured that my baby is going to be just fine on our downtown outings now that we have a Polar Igloo from 7 A.M. Enfant!

Untitled-2This little foot muff is a mother’s dream come true!  It was actually inspired by the Arctic atmosphere.  What a top-of-the-line insulator to keep my little bundle bundled!  This ingenious cover is so light and fluffy because its made from a faux down insulation.  It has a cozy microfleece lining that surrounds the baby, and the most luxurious Sherpa along the entire front cover.  It is so buttery soft to the touch, I just want to climb inside with him!  The outside shell is water-proof–perfect for those nasty snowy/rainy/sleety days.  And oh I love those zippers!  The red felt trim is the perfect touch.

Besides all of its fantastic climate control features, the Polar Igloo can be used in so many ways!  It does a fantastic job adapting to practically any stroller and carseat on the market.  The five-point harness openings allow you to fit this into any child seat and still use the restraining straps and clasps installed to keep your baby secure.  You don’t have to cram, smash, or choke any insulation through car seat straps to ensure an easy, snug, and speedy protection.  The velcro loop straps are intense.  VERY strong, with elastic between the two layers to provide a flexible, but extremely secure, hold.  Its not just for strollers and carseats, though.  You could use it on its own as a blanket or a sleeping cozy for any outdoor activities or even camping with a little one.  The front can be completely removed if you wanted to simplify, and the hood can open flat.  Ah versatility!  I love it!

This winter, I’ve grown so tired of stuffing baby in and out of his snowsuit every time we transition from warm to cold to warm again.  This fully functioning bunting eliminates the need to completely dress and undress him every time, which is saving me a heap of time and saving my fingers from a heap of cold zipper work!  And get ready for the magic words: machine-washable!  I know!

I usually feel like monster, taking the baby out in the bitter cold with those vicious winds.  But I cannot tell you how calm and assured I am about my baby being completely warm and cozy in this Polar Igloo.  My only minor point of criticism is that the black kind of looks like a trash bag, but not the case with the other lovely colors that this comes in–bordeaux and oxford-blue.  This is completely essential for babies in the big city!  It is the ultimate baby winter protection!

We got a size Medium, which is intended for ages 6-18 months.  I think the sizing is spot on, and I’m stoked about being able to use this next winter as well.  It also comes in size Small (for 0-6 months) and Large (for 18-3T).  7 A.M. Enfant also makes matching mittens, booties, and a Polar hat!  The only thing that would complete our look would be the WarMMuffs!

Ok, think back to all the ugly below freezing weather days we’ve had this winter.  Are you remembering all those outdoor excursions with your kids and how you worried about keeping your babies warm?  Have I convinced you of the amazing features of the 7 A.M. Enfant Polar Igloo?

One extremely lucky winner (and their baby!) is going to win a Polar Igloo ($125!) in their choice of color!  (Black, bordeaux, or oxford-blue).
