Too Much Gobble Gobble

The day of turkey has come and gone, but that doesn’t mean it’s gone gone. We had two turkeys this year. One that my uncle picked up fresh from the turkey farm (like he does every year for my mom to cook) and the other that my brother deep fried.

I had never tried deep fried turkey before and I’ve gotta say it was quite dandy tasting.

Two turkeys means lots of leftovers that are eaten for days upon days. Do you have a few too many turkey leftovers??? Carissa over at Good n Crazy has some really great ideas HERE for what to do with all that turkey.

Now to figure out what to do with all the pie…

Who wants the recipe I used to make that German Chocolate Pie???

Jack-O-Lantern Bah Humbug!

I hate carving pumpkins!

A few days ago I announced it to the world. (And no one hurt me or anything!)

Tara asked me to share my ideas for NO-Carve (or low carve) Jack-O-Lanterns.
With the help of Google and Pinterest— here are my favorite ideas…

  1. From TaterTots&Jello a DIY tutorial to make your own fabric crafty pumpkins.
  2. From Lowes — Mumpkins! They use real mum flowers poked into the pumpkin, but I vote for fake flowers and a glue gun??
  3. From Etsy Seller SeaPinks — A stuffed polka dot pumpkin. But what if you painted a pumpkin a dark color like this green (or black) and then gave it a ‘glow in the dark’ polka dot topping?

I have a bunch of other fun pumpkin decorating (without the carving knife) ideas…back at my little blog: GoodNCrazy.com! Come join me!
