Bitsy’s Brainfood {Giveaway} – CLOSED

I think we can all agree that we want to feed our kids good stuff.  Right?  But have you ever walked down the health food aisles at your local grocery store? I think it’s pretty clear that the food there is marketed to adults and in general the packaging can be on the bland side… It can be hard to convince a child that they would rather have a cereal that’s also loaded with nutrients when it’s coming from a bland blue box.

This is where Bitsy’s Brainfood comes in.

Bisty’s Brianfood was started by two moms who wanted eating smart to also be fun. They created a bunch of snack foods that are perfect for kids. They are packed with good stuff (vitamins, Omega-3) that help support your child’s development, tasty, nutritious, and are perfect for on-the-go.

I was sent a box of “Fruit & Veggie 1, 2, 3” cereal, a box of “Sweet Potato Oatmeal Raisin Cookies” and a box of “Lemon Broccoli Cookies” to review.

The box of cereal is bright and fun, the back of the box is covered with games and fun facts as well as the whole inside of the box.  The cereal is shaped in numbers, and I was little apprehensive about how it would taste after it tooted it healthyness so clearly.  Eating it by the handful I think it actually taste quite good, a bit like Trix to start with but there is more of a grainy after taste, however when I added milk to it and ate it as proper cereal it tasted less sweet and more similar to cheerios.  Dimitri thought the cereal was fantastic either way and was more than happy to shove both fistfuls and spoonfuls into his mouth.

The Sweet Potato Oatmeal Raisin Cookies were sweet, flavorful, and hard to leave alone. The Lemon Broccoli Cookies seemed a little softer and more apt to crumbling but they were also amazing, the lemon made them tangy and I even knowing they were loaded with broccoli I couldn’t really taste it.  Both sets of cookies were shaped like alphabet letters and a lot of fun to play with before eating.

Bitsy’s Brainfood makes it clear that really want this food to appeal to kids, and through using interactive packaging, fun stickers, characters that spark little imaginations, and a kid friendly website your child might actually ask for a Lemon Broccoli Smart Cookie, instead of a chocolate chip cookie next time they’re looking for something sweet.

If you’re looking for a great alternative to the loads of unhealthy snack targeted at kids then you really need to check out Bitsy’s Brainfood.  Places to buy Bitsy’s Brainfood.
