Etsy shop owners are really amazing people! The ones that make products to sell are really putting themselves and their talent out there for the world to see. Talented describes them in a word, I think. Melanie over at Thoroughly Modern Minis (TModernMinis)Â is no exception to this! She’s joining me to do a giveaway on a bean bag chair slipcover!
The slipcover is made to cover Dana’s, over at the blog Made, Rollie Pollie pattern. If you’re not much of a sewer but would really love to have your own Rollie Pollie, look no further than Melanie’s shop! If you’ve never heard of or are not interested in a bean bag chair these also double as a great storage space for all things soft.
In the picture I have 3 large winter blankets, 1 twin comforter, and an extra decor pillow. I stuffed everything in the bag thinking it would be busting at the seams. It really only took up about half of the space available. I ended up grabbing Munchkin’s XL twin comforter and there was still a ton of room to spare! If you don’t have a ton of blankets lying around this would also be an amazing way to keep a load of stuffed animals together, and look cute in the process. Sometimes we go through spurts where he’s totally into playing pretend with his stuffed animals but mostly they just get thrown around and alway seem to be underfoot. He wasn’t sure what the bag was at first, but as soon as I told him I needed him to sit on it he flopped down and snuggled up
Munchkin is about 45″ tall. This thing really is so big. I want to fill it up just so I can flop down next to him too! The rest of the evening was spent jumping off of our couches onto it. The boys loved rolling all over it. As for the actual cover, it’s stitched wonderfully and I can tell it will be able to stand up to the rough housing of two little boys. She worked with me on figuring out which fabric would suit my home decor ideas. It’s been a pleasure to work with her!
One lucky winner will win one Bean Bag Cover!
****Note, this is for the cover only. No pattern or filling of any kind is included****

i don’t really craft very often, every now and then i like to paint.
I did have a bean bag chair growing up, but the thought of having to clean up those beads that eventually come out scares me away from getting one for my kids. This, however is a great idea, my kids have so many blankets that are just stacked in their closet, this would be so great!!
