One of the great things about having boys is that I really only have to worry about getting 2-3 pairs of shoes for each season — they each have worn the same sandals everywhere to play, their water shoes for the beach or sprinkler play, and then nice shoes to wear to church.  Done, done, and done.  One of the problems, though, is finding a shoe that will last the entire season.  I like to shop ahead and buy clearance from the end of season sales to use for the next year, and I was ecstatic when I found a pair of pediped® sandals at a sale last summer that my two-year-old has worn ALL summer this year.  They are amazing!  They’ve been able to withstand the many days and weeks at the park, and the color remains vibrant and unfaded.

Exceptional quality, unsurpassed comfort and distinctive styling have made the award-winning company the fastest growing children’s footwear brand in the United States. pediped® footwear has been awarded the American Podiatric Medical Association Seal of Acceptance for the promotion of healthy foot development, and preeminent orthopedic medical professionals, Dr. Mininder S. Kocher and Dr. Thomas W. Vorderer, deem pediped® shoes an excellent choice for parents/caregivers who want their children’s feet to develop naturally and healthily.

pediped® footwear is sold in over 2,500 stores in the United States and 40 countries worldwide with an offering of more than 140 designs for boys and girls between their three lines available in EU sizes ranging from 17 to 33:

original

Originals® — (0-24 months) The soft, flexible soles of Originals® are recommended by pediatricians and podiatrists because they allow children to closely mimic barefoot walking. Originals® are made of the highest quality leather on the market today and also feature a soft foam insert between leather layers. They are so comfortable, your child will not want to take them off!

grip

Grip ‘n’ Go™ — (9 months – 3 years) Grip ‘n’ Go™ include all the benefits of Originals® but also have special G2 Technology™, which includes a soft rubber sole, rounded edges that mimic the shape of a child’s foot, heel stability, and a soft toe box to allow toes to grip the floor. Grip ‘n’ Go™ provide active toddlers with the ideal combination of protection and flexibility as they improve their walking ability.

flex girls

Flex® — (1-8 years) Flex® are the perfect choice for confident walkers who have developed a solid, natural stride. With cushioned arch support and a soft, flexible rubber sole, Flex® ensure comfort and healthy foot development. In addition, the Flex Fit System™ allows you to adjust the fit of Flex® shoes to prolong wear.

flex

We received the Flex Jones – Khaki in a size 30 for my four-year-old, who has gone through a number of play shoes and sandals this summer.  He’s been playing harder and harder when he’s outside over the past few months, and I’m sure that that will only continue into the fall.  These shoes are durable but flexible, and I love that the shoes have a little pop of orange peeking through to give a little bit of color.

I’m also eyeing the very cute but also very practical Originals for Baby Boy #3!  I can remember my friend first introducing me to this brand when her son started walking, and I still remember how easily she could slip the shoes on and off his feet and how well they moved with his feet while still remaining stable enough to provide the necessary traction to stay upright.

pediped® will give back to schools as part of its pediped® ’s Schools initiative this fall

Enrolled schools will receive 10% back on all attributed purchases giving parents another reason to shop the award-winning brand

Schools everywhere will have yet another reason to celebrate the start of a new school year. On July 24, 2013, pediped® launched ‘pediped ♥ ‘s Schools’, a new, one-of-a-kind, giving campaign where participating schools will receive a check for 10% back on their total attributed purchases of pediped® Footwear. Each school can earn up to $10,000 per year.

School officials and leaders of the PTO or PTA are encouraged to enroll their school to best spread the word. Parents and teachers may also enroll their school into the program.  Each school will receive a unique code upon enrollment. Members of the school and community should use this code at checkout when making a purchase on pediped.com or in any pediped® owned boutique (located in Las Vegas). pediped® will compile and track the purchases attributed to each school’s code and each school will receive 10% back on their total combined purchases. Purchases will be tracked now until May 15, 2014 and schools will receive their checks in June 2014. Any purchases made after May 15 will roll over to the next school year. Schools will be able to track their earnings on pediped.com.

“I’m excited to celebrate the start of a new school year with kids everywhere, said Angela Edgeworth, founder of pediped® Footwear. “Schools need our help now more than ever and it’s essential for them to have the things they need. We are receiving heavy support from parents and teachers alike who see the value in creating awareness on the importance of providing schools with adequate resources. Giving back always has and will continue to be a core value of pediped®.”
