Blue Steel {Giveaway} – CLOSED

So, I told you about my wedding ring(s) and the craziness that ensued from our vacation to Washington D.C., but my husband also has quite the wedding band stories to tell.  He started out with his platinum band that (similar to my platinum ring) was difficult to keep shiny and smooth, especially since he was working with his hands often at the time.

We decided to get another ring for him to wear to work, so he went with the Tungsten steel and it held up amazingly well.  Well, one day he was working with a group of Marines who were mixing cement in the back of a Humvee.  His ring slipped off into the dry concrete powder, and he was sure it was gone.  Everyone scoured the truck looking for it, but they didn’t have any luck so it was back to the platinum ring.  A couple of days later, though, they were sweeping out the Humvee and found his ring!  Hallelujah!

Until, of course, one cold early morning he went to go PT, and he took it off and put it in his back pocket so it wouldn’t fall off his fingers.  He started doing crunches, then went to another spot to do push-ups, then another to do jumping jacks when he realized that his ring fell out of his pocket.  They all stopped and spent most of the time running around looking for the ring.  This time, however, it was back to the platinum ring for good.

When Blue Steel offered a review of one of their items, I knew that I wanted to find a wedding band for my husband.  He’s an air traffic controller now and doesn’t work outside or with his hands much anymore, but that platinum ring has seen better days.  I really like clean lines on jewelry, which was why my eye was drawn to the Titanium Tradition band.

The customer service was amazing, and the shipping was incredibly fast — I “proposed” to my husband via text as soon as it came in the mail, and he immediately accepted!  😉 **Why the text, you wonder?  My husband has worked every day, weekends included, for the past two months.  Don’t get me started…

In addition to the great selection of rings, Blue Steel offers a variety of jewelry for lots of different occasions.

Allure Earrings

Opposites Attract Pendant

I’m with you, Rachel! He’s an active duty Marine, an Air Traffic Controller, and the leader of their Military Final Honors team; the three combined can sometimes result in a crazy schedule, but the past several weeks have been the worst! We’ve got our fingers crossed that the planets will align, and he’ll be home for the long Easter weekend. 🙂
