Getting Healthy!

It’s time to start to…

GET  HEALTHY  AT:

Tara-Button-2

Are you ready for this???  It’s Monday and I think that’s the best day to start.  Why wait until the middle of the week?  So… Let’s get this started, shall we?  Throughout the coming weeks we can all share tips, recipes, etc.  Be sure to check in often since I’m planning to post biweekly.  In blog postings I’m going to share with you my goals for the upcoming week(s).  Feel free to share your own plans in comments as I think it will be beneficial for us to all work together!  Some of us might be looking to exercise more.  Some of us might be looking to lose some weight.  (I’m wanting to drop 20 lbs.)  Some of us might be looking to maintain our weight through diet and exercise.  Whatever we are looking for I think we can all stay motivated with a support system!  A dandy support system!  😉

Here are my goals for this week:

  • I’m going to start tracking again.  Tracking EVERYTHING.  I’m a lifetime member of Weight Watchers and have their app on my phone, so it makes it very easy to track.
  • I’m going to eat healthier.  The fridge is stocked with some fresh fruit (blackberries, blueberries, apples, strawberries, oranges) and I’ll be reaching for the fruit in place of candy treats.
  • I’m going to workout on the elliptical at least 3 times this week.

I’ll touch base with you all in a mid week posting.  Just to let you know how it’s going.  And you can do the same in the comments on that posting.  🙂   Then next Monday I’ll be posting my weigh in.  Fingers crossed this week goes well!

What are your goals for this week???

Leave a comment to let us all know!  🙂  Oh and good luck to all!

  1. Okay I ran 2 miles this morning and I’m heading to the zoo at lunch to walk around! I’m not the best at tracking what I eat but I’ll try…

  2. My goal is to lose 12 pounds in 8 weeks, just in time for my 30th birthday. This averages to a 1.5 lb weight loss a week. I am HORRIBLE at attaining goals and even worse at monitoring what I eat. I haven’t been on my treadmill for 2 months so I’m starting out slow. This week I will run a total of 6 miles and eat smaller portion sizes. I am a snacker, I love to eat. Good luck to us all!

  3. With y’all in spirit!! Waiting to have a MRI to determine if I have a stress fracture on my left foot……. Kinda puts a damper on the exercise regimen!! My goals are to lose 40 pounds over a healthy period of time and maintain. Heading to Florida in may and would like the first 25% to be gone by then, but realistically I’m in it for the Long haul a nothing happens overnight!! Good luck ladies ;0)

  4. Great plan! I plan on doing something similar except not tracking it all – I HATE tracking numbers…4 and 2 year old and 4 mo old, I just don’t have time to log every single thing. I do plan on eating better though – more fruits and veggies and less snacking. Also going to try and get on the elliptical 3 times per week for 20-30 minutes each time. I would like to lose about 15 pounds. We can do this! :)) Today was not a good start for me though…tomorrow will be better! Good luck everyone.

  5. I’m checking-in after week 1. I met all my goals! I ran 2 miles each Tues/Thurs/Fri and watched my calories. I lost 2.2 lbs. My weight usually fluxuates this much during a week so I wont know if I actually have lost for good unless I keep it off this week and lose another 1.5 lbs. I found it’s difficult but manageable to keep track of food consumption during the week but by Saturday and Sunday I just wanted to gorge myself! Here’s hoping I can maintain self control. Good luck to you all!

  6. Just found this and I’ll definitely be checking back in! I’m in the process of searching for exercise plans that are safe for my back issues yet still effective!
