Cabot Cheese {Review}

One thing you have to know about my husband: he loves cheese.  LOVES it.  He finds ways to put it on almost everything that he eats, and there’s never “too much cheese” for him.  His family always asks him to make griled cheese when we visit them because they say he makes the best grilled cheese sandwiches.  He believes that cheese has healing powers — he really tells people to eat cheese when they’re sick, and he definitely follows that advice.

So, you can only imagine his excitement when a box of cheese showed up on our doorstep from Cabot!  Yes, a box of cheese was literally sent in the mail — I didn’t know it was possible, either!  (In a special styrofoam box with refrigerants, in case you were wondering.)

We pulled out four different kinds of cheeses (Sharp Light Cheddar, Seriously Sharp Cheddar, Extra Sharp Cheddar, and Chipotle) and were excited to have our own little sampling party.  As much as my husband loves cheese, I’m generally of the “whatever-is-cheapest-with-or-without-a-coupon” crowd and stick mostly with mozzarella and a Mexican blend; it’s fun to try out the different kinds of cheddar and to have a little bit of a kick with the Chipotle.  I was especially excited about the Chipotle since we usually have everything to have Mexican for dinner; this was an easy way to spice it up or change it around a little bit in an easy way.

Cabot offers a variety of cheeses, but they also have other dairy products that caught my eye — sour cream, cream cheese, whipped cream, butter, dips, and Greek yogurt (a new favorite around here, for both eating and baking!)

Check out Cabot cheese and other dairy products at most grocery stores across the U.S., or be sure to stop their Visitor Center and store next time you’re heading to beautiful Vermont!
