I just signed up to run the Cape Cod Ragnar this May!  It is a 200-mile relay race around the cape, run by a team of 12 runners.  Eleven friends and I are starting our training regimens so we can kick butt at our race!  I’m ecstatic about hitting the gym a few days a week, especially while there are holiday treats everywhere I look screaming “eat me”!

Over the years, the more I run, the more picky I get about athletic wear.  I used to throw on whatever t-shirt and shorts were clean and on top of the laundry pile, but lately I’m all about breathable, moisture-managing, and especially cute gym clothes :).

ActivewearUSA is a rockin athelicwear store with a massive selection of all sorts of trendy pieces in practically every sport.  I believe their logo that they may very well be the “largest selection of women’s activewear” ever.

I received a terrificly sporty NUX Basics Focus Tank from ActivewearUSA for my training wardrobe, and it is exactly what I was looking for!  Its much cuter than a worn-out t-shirt, and I was surprised by how much I like the light compression.  It helps me keep in my post-baby gut 🙂 and provides a nice level of support.  After wearing it on my run this morning, I loved how I didn’t feel sweaty and gross.  The NUX top looked and felt exactly as if I had just put it on.  Very slick.  I’m impressed!

Are you planning on hitting up the gym after the holidays?  What are you looking for?  Sports bras, activewear tops, bottoms, shoes, jackets, fitness accessories?  Save yourself some shopping around and just get it all at ActivewearUSA.  You’ll be the cutest girl in the gym!  Go take a look at all their cute running clothes, you know, in case you’re running a ragnar too this Spring 🙂

So I am running a 5K tomorrow….after seeing this post I said to my sister, “We should run Ragnar next year.” Her reaction, “….uh…..do you know what Ragnar is?” “Yes.” “It is like 200 miles in the mountains and at night.” “Uh huh! Wanna do it?” “…um…sure. You find out about it and we will go from there.” ha ha HEY! You may be the inspiration to get me going from couch to 5K to Ragnar! Thanks!!

  2. Do it!! I hear the wasatch ragnar is so fun! You’ve totally got more than 6 months to train, easy. GOOD LUCK tomorrow!! I think I peed my pants at the end of my first 5K, ha ha.
