Remember how Banjo had a birthday a couple of weeks ago?  He’s now this many:

{Giveaway} Vitamins Baby ***ENDED***

Having one of each (a boy and a girl) is blessing, but when Ruby came along we had absolutely no baby girl items in this house!  There were plenty of baby boy clothes, toys, and even blankets.  Recently she received one of her first girl toys from Vitamins Baby.  It’s actually a toy and little blankie in one!  Vitamins Baby is already well known for being a premiere place to shop for newborn and infant clothing. In addition Vitamins Baby has the cutest Blankie Buddy Sets!  They sent Ruby an adorable little giraffe for a girl.  It’s pink with roses on the body.  We needed more pink in this house that is a given!  Her Blankie Buddy has a plush head and arms with a triangular shaped body that is made from soft knit fabric to create a little blankie.  The blankie part is just the right size for her to grasp onto now.  Plus, I just know that the cozy shape of the animal will be the perfect friend to her as she continues to grow!

Holiday Gift Idea #1: Playmobil

Here I sit at my computer listening to Christmas music on Pandora Radio and thinking of the soon-to-be-here month of December.  I’m a little stressed…hence my reasoning to listen to the soothing voice of Bing Crosby.  Okay the anxiety of holiday gift giving is starting to get to me!  Am I ready for it?  Have I made my list and checked it twice?  The house is slowly getting decorated, so Banjo knows what’s up ahead and he’s too excited for Christmas this year!  I want everything to be perfect and magical for him.  We are yet again vigilant with talking about the Christmas Story.  I do think he’s getting it.  Although when I spot a robot man shooting laser beams at the Nativity Scene and baby Jesus I begin to wonder…  Banjo is 3 and a half, though so I’m guessing that’s perfectly normal.  Hopefully.  :)   Anyway, with all my stress about gift giving I figured that some of you out there might be feeling it, too.  So why not share some holiday gift ideas???  Wouldn’t that be dandy?  For starters, Playmobil makes an excellent gift for the kiddos aged 4 and up.  Apparently it’s a hot item that’s selling out, because I was just talking with my sister-in-law on the phone last night and she asked me if I knew where to find some Playmobil toys online for her girls.  (Imagine that.  She thinks that I just might know where to find good deals online.)  Well, it was perfect timing, because…

This is Banjo’s very first Playmobil set and he LOVES it!  So much so that I’m sure Santa will be bringing him some more.  :)

I went ahead and let him open this as soon as it came just to get his reaction.  Now he thinks whenever the mail man comes to the door it’s to deliver a present for him!

He’s growing up so fast and outgrowing his “baby” toys.  *sigh*

At least now I know what the next stage is…  Playmobil!

It’s becoming more and more difficult to keep Banjo entertained during church.  After all… Banjo is 3 years old!  He doesn’t like to sit still or stay quiet, so of course the 1st hour on Sunday is difficult for us.  He goes to nursery (singing time, play time, lesson) for the 2nd and 3rd hours, so he’s someone else’s problem then.  :)    I’m only joking about him being a problem.  He really is a good kid.  Just a kid.  I often find myself looking around during that 1st hour of church and see that others are struggling with their children too.  So fortunately it’s not just Banjo making all the noise!  :)   One thing that I’ve found to be particularly effective is his “My Quiet Book“.  We received this from My Growing Season quite awhile ago and it’s awesome!  He loves to take the items out of the pockets, etc. We’ve even found that children sitting in the pew in front of us like to turn around to see his cool book.  ;)    Recently My Growing Season sent us the “Let’s Count 123″ quiet book and it’s another hit with Banjo!

Who’s ready for MORE Lalaloopsy???  You got it!  I love featuring items from Lalaloopsy because 1.) It’s keeping me well stocked with cuteness for the little girl that I’m currently carrying…and 2.) When I was a little girl my Nana and Boompa had the best toy box at their house.  They kept it always so I would have something to play with at their house and my parents wouldn’t have to worry about dragging toys over there for me.  My grandparents only had boys, so these weren’t the typical toys that had been around their house for ages.  They had to actually find girl types of toys for me to play with.  Nana found some really great ones at various yard sales which since it was the 70′s these toys are all majorly retro now!  My favorite was this plastic tree that opened up into a treehouse.  To this day I don’t know where that treehouse ended up and I have no idea who the manufacturer was.  I miss that tree!  At least I have the good memories, right?  Well, a little while ago Lalaloopsy sent me the Mini Lalaloopsy Treehouse Playset:
