{Giveaway} My Grafico Arts & Crafts ***ENDED***

At my house you will find loads and loads of scrapbooking supplies.  There’s some in my craft room upstairs and then boxes of it in the basement.  It’s quite sad really.  There’s so many items that literally have never even been used.  I’m talking paper, stamps, die cuts… you name it and I have it.  I think my problem is I would buy these massive packaged of paper thinking that I would use it, but then really only needed it for a few specific sheets.  Then I went through this stamping phase where I started collecting all of these different stamps and ink.  I don’t even want to think how much I spent on it all!  And now where does it sit?  In a box.  I’ve often wondered what it would be like to have scrapbooking supplies right at your fingertips.  No more of this traveling out to the store and having to buy big packs of paper just to get the few select ones you need or all of those die cuts…You can even forget about throwing your money away!  How you might ask?  With My Grafico Arts & Crafts!  It’s THE place to get those supplies digitally and at major savings!  All you have to do is print from the comfort of your own home.  Here have a look at just a sampling of what’s available at My Grafico Arts & Crafts:

{Giveaway} Express The Moment ***ENDED***

I’m a closet scrapbooker.  Closet, because sadly that’s where the books I’ve done end up.  I’ve started and stopped scrapbooking lots over the years.  I always start with good intentions.  I go to the store and buy loads of paper when it’s 50% off or something.  You will now find stacks and stacks of it in my basement.  Then I get stickers.  Those might be in a box somewhere from the last move?  And don’t even get me started on the pens.  My handwriting is absolutely atrocious, so why did I think that I would even use all of those pens?  The computer printer is much more effective.  When it comes to scrapbooking I just don’t think that I have that creative edge.  I lack the eye for that sort of thing.  Sure I’ve got all the supplies, but putting them together to make a work of art?  Not so much.  I’m just not very good at that sort of thing.  Now if I had a kit…  Hmmm.  A kit.  Now there’s a dandy idea!  In fact… with a scrapbooking kit from say Express The Moment I would get that gorgeous work of art and I would get to avoid buying the stacks of paper, stickers, pens.  You name it.  So with Express The Moment I would actually save money!  :)    Who’s sold and I haven’t even begun to show the gorgeous works of art yet?  Now I know that many of you are shouting, “Me!  Me!  Me!”, but I’m still going to show you all this dandiness.  Okay are you ready?  Brace yourselves for the works of art!!!

I’m seriously in love with these Recipe Kits from Express The Moment:

These pages would majorly dress up your recipe book and make it the envy of all of your baking friends!

There are even kits perfect for card making!

You can get this look with the May 2011 Expressions Card Kit “Celebrate”.

My Banjo majorly hearts dinosaurs, so how cute is this Stomp Kit?

Yep I’m pretty sure that he needs it!

Plus, it’s a Value Kit, so you can’t go wrong there!  :)

Speaking of cute scrapbook pages for little boys at a great value…

I’m just a sucker for anything boy, because that’s what I have.   A little boy!  How totally adorable are these pages???

I just love the use of owls for little men!  Both ideas are provided by My Minds Eye.

Express The Moment also has a way fun blog where you can get more ideas for happy scrapbooking!  This dandy company is celebrating 11 years of business and they are passing the presents on to you!   Just use coupon code ‘BIRTHDAY’ to save 25% off your entire purchase!  PLUS be sure and join their Facebook page, because you could win a free kit!  Woohoo!  Happy Birthday Express The Moment!!!

And what’s being given away this week from Express The Moment?  Drum roll please….  The winner of this giveaway is going to receive the May 2011 Moments Scrapbook Kit!!!  How fitting, because we are on the verge of exiting May and now the winner is going to be able to scrap all those May pictures!

{Giveaway} Picaboo ***ENDED***

The holidays seem to always be chuck full of family traditions and that’s a wonderful thing!  That’s one of my favorites about this time of the year.  My family has a few traditions, but for this posting I want to reflect on a really great holiday tradition that my husband grew up with.  Can I share with you for a moment?  He was raised in an area of Salt Lake City called Sugar House.  If you are familiar with the area then you are probably also familiar with the various streets that get all decked out with the Christmas Spirit.  If you aren’t familiar with Salt Lake City or these streets then I highly suggested going to Salt Lake and visiting both Wilson and Blaine Avenues around the holiday season!   :)    At the entrance to this classic neighborhood you will be greeted by signs like this:

Followed by signs with a scripture and painting in each front yard depicting scenes from the Christmas Story.

Over the years the paintings have become quite weathered, but the tradition that carries on and on.  Every time a house is sold the signs for that yard comes with the house to be placed out for viewing right after Thanksgiving.  I think that it’s such a great tradition and I love to drive through when we happen to be in Salt Lake for the holidays.  A few years ago I took zoomed in pictures of each sign.   And…

This year Picaboo gave me a photo book, so I bound the pictures in it.  The book seriously turned out marvelous and will be a family tradition for years to come!  Picaboo has some really unique designs to create your very own photo book.  Seriously beautiful page backgrounds and many types of different setups for picture placement.  You just download their program (which is so simple to do) and then upload pictures.  With Picaboo you can place the pictures in the order you want OR… Picaboo will do it for you!  Which makes creating a photo book that much more simple!  :)

Who wants to win a $30 gift certificate to Picaboo that can be used towards anything Picaboo sells?  I’m talking photo books, cards, and calendars!  Well, now… enter away!
