Our Boo-tiful Wagon

Remember that ultra cute, very dandy, and super fun wagon that we took on our fall outing last week?

wagon4

Yep.  That’s the one!

The baby is also ultra cute, very dandy, and super fun if I do say so myself.  *wink*

(He has some teeth coming in and is constantly feeling with his tongue and sticking it out for pictures.)

Isn’t the wagon just so charming?  Our kids simply love this wagon.

The charm is all in that happy face.

wagon

My kiddos were invited to decorate the Cozy Coupe Wagon just to show how perfect it is for the trick-or-treating adventures and it is perfect.  I mean seriously… why walk from house to house when you can ride in style?  And decorating your own ride for the big All Hallows’ Eve???  Even better!

My kids really got into the decorating process.  It brought out their creativity and we were able to discuss our plans for the wagon weeks in advance.  This family activity has made this year’s Halloween festivities that much more memorable for us so I highly recommend.  Ready to see what my kiddos did to their new wagon?  Here you go:

Little Tikes sent them the wagon, I gave them the supplies, and they got to work.

bootiful

Didn’t they do such a boo-tiful job?

Of course in addition to the decorating…

We just had to put our new friend in costume.

bootiful2

After all… Those Cozy Coupe eyes were just screaming to be a ghost.

Do you have any other ideas of how we could have dressed Cozy?

Thanks to Little Tikes we are all ready for trick-or-treating.  Are you?  It will be here before you know it.

The countdown is on.

Bring on October 31st!

bootiful4

Do you stay in your own neighborhood for trick-or-treating?

Or do you go all over town?

Have a very safe and Happy Halloween!

I did receive the Cozy Coupe wagon from Little Tikes to bring you this posting.  However, all opinions are strictly my own.

Bed for Banjo

Well, it’s high time Banjo moves out of his toddler bed.  He will after all be 5 in April.  So he’s not a toddler anymore.  *sniff*  For the last few months Banjo has been begging us for a bunk bed.  What is with little boys and bunk beds, anyway?  All of his friends have one and he has been insisting that he needs it.  I think the appeal is that top bunk, but who wants a child to fly right off and break an arm???  This would be the 5 years working in the children’s emergency department speaking…  Audi does agree with this concern.  So I found this bed on Zulily:

It’s only $299!!  That’s a huge savings.  Plus, it’s only 46 inches off the ground, so our fears of falls are taken care of.  Audi approves and so Santa will be delivering this to our house especially for Banjo.  We figure he’ll use it for a couple of years and then we can sand and paint it for Ruby.  At that point I’m guessing I will be constructing a really cute girl’s playhouse out of felt to drape from the bed.  😉

You’ve been hearing all week about how I’m this total Zulily shopper.  I seriously love the savings I find there.  Remember if you are new to Zulily then you get $10 free to spend at Zulily!

Have a dandy weekend my friends!

Craft Cuts {Giveaway} – CLOSED

Oh what’s in a name!  I already know I might sound a little crazy when I tell you that I constantly stew over what to name my future children.  Half the time when I can’t sleep, I play around with middle names in my head till I fall asleep.  I think a name is so important, and the first gift you can give your child!  I want it to be something I will love saying a million times, and something THEY will love hearing a million times.  Once its official, I am a sucker for any opportunity to display that name anywhere and everywhere, and Craft Cuts is one of the classiest places to do just that!

What is so incredible about this store is their ability to cut out wood lettering in practically any font your heart desires.  From cutesy curly girly fonts, to strong statement letters, you can design just the look you want for your room or bedroom.

Classy block letters for the family room!

I LOVE these letters on ribbons!  Adorable for a bedroom above a crib, or also quaint for living room décor above a couch.

And a personal favorite, wood wall letter tiles!!

What a treasure trove of supplies for artsy people looking to personalize their home!  Anyone with a creative bone in their body will have a ball perusing this shop, but if you don’t consider yourself very artsy-fartsy, Craft Cuts can certainly do all this leg work for you!  You can purchase any name already hand-painted, pre-stained, and tied with ribbon if you desire!  They really allow you to be completely creative with their blank letters, but they also can take care of you if anything in the crafty department makes you nervous, and you’d rather have it professionally done for you.

We had the huge honor of picking out some letters for our home.  I decided I wanted to make a sign of our last name to have on display in our home for as long as we live.  Though Craft Cuts can definitely design your name on a board for you (as seen here with their lettering on a base), we wanted to put it together ourselves, so I just ordered the letters individually and unpainted.  As soon as my letters arrived, I was DYING to put them together!

Here is the hubby marking things just right before we drilled them into the board to keep them steady.

I turned on a little Dancing with the Stars and painted them up with basic tempera paint and a polyurethane gloss.  Easy peasy.

I am SO SATISFIED and thrilled about the way it turned out!  Classic, professional, and something that will always be on display.

Now I just need some holiday company over to see our majestic addition to our home décor!

Craft Cuts has quite an extensive selection of so many more products besides wood lettering.  Check out their craft kits, home decor, vinyl wall lettering, and stencils!

Get ready to get your crafty face on because one winner will receive a $30 giftcard to Craft Cuts!

Pumpkin Design Lady

My mom is an amazing woman. I love her to bits! She’s a bank manager and works hard at everything she does. Mom is also quite crafty and creative. I just might have to have her guest on the blog sometime. 😉 Anyway, this year all the bank branches are participating in a fun contest for Halloween. Each branch had their employees decorate pumpkins. They decided to utilize social media (Facebook to be exact) to spread the word about the amazing creations. Because we all know that social media is where it’s at. 😉 The winning employees get lunch provided to them by the bank. I really want my mom and her girls to win. They deserve it. And they made some pretty dandy pumpkins! Super cute:

Minky Couture {Giveaway} ***ENDED***

My Banjo loves his baby sister.  So much so that he refers to her as his baby.  Whenever we are out in public he likes to tell random strangers that he has a baby.  Then he proudly points to her and says, “Her name is baby Ruby”.  It’s ever so cute.  So….  Want to see a picture of some really cute siblings (who really love each other) chilling out on a really cute blanket?

Here they are:

Okay.  So this blanket isn’t just cute.  It’s gorgeous.

It’s compliments of Minky Couture and by far the best blanket we own.  It hangs out with us in the family room and really adds to the decorum.  Plus, it’s sooooo soft and comfy.  Yep it was an instant favorite around here and we might have just fought over it a few times already…  😉

One very lucky, lucky winner is going to receive this Jaclyn Infant Blanket:

 From Minky Couture, of course!

Chickadee Vinyl {Giveaway} ***ENDED***

Decorating Ruby’s room has been a dream.  There’s just something about all thing decor for baby girls.  Don’t get me wrong.  It was fun decorating the nursery for Banjo, but decorating for a baby girl is just so sweet and cutesy!  Maybe it’s because I’m a girl and deep down I like girly things.  Even though I’m not that much of a pink gal.  Too much exposure to the color in childhood gave it a bad wrap in my mind.  I’ll admit that I’m slowly warming to the idea of dressing Ruby in pinks.  Although for her room I didn’t want anything pink.  So maybe I’m not quite to that point of being fully accepting of the color pink.  😉  I knew right away that the color combination of gray and yellow would be perfect for her room, because I love the color yellow.  In terms of decor we also wanted a room that didn’t scream baby, so it could in fact grow with her.  Who wants to decorate over and over throughout childhood???  So I chose a bird theme that I thought would be perfect for a nursery, but also in a little girl’s room.  The challenge was the one wall that we selected to leave white behind her crib.  How ever was I going to tie the room color in on that wall without being overbearing?  Enter the cutest wall vinyl that I ever did spy:

That cuteness is from Chickadee Vinyl and I was able to order it in the colors of my choosing.

It looks so adorable in my little bird’s room:

Thank you Chickadee Vinyl!

Just Beccuz {Giveaway} ***ENDED***

Last weekend an event took place around here that made me happy and sad at the same time.  My Banjo turned 4.  Can you believe that he’s that old now???  I cannot!  Or rather I just don’t want to believe it.  When many of you first met him on this blog he was only 1 and a half!  Where does the time go?  My baby is growing up.  🙁   We celebrated the entire weekend.  First with the friend party and then we headed up to Illinois to my parent’s home.  Banjo had the best time!  His Gran and Boompa made his dreams come true with a big boy bike and he was fascinated by all the birthday balloons.  My mom is the best thrower of parties and unlike me she always remembers the balloons.  Now the birthday banner on the other hand…  It has seen better days.  This banner has made an appearance at birthday parties for well over 10 years now:

Seeing it again reminded me that I need to introduce my mom to Just Beccuz.

Just Beccuz is all about parties and decorations, so it’s definitely her kind of place!

I’m thinking that Banjo’s Illinois party next year will be complete with this banner making its debut on the deck:

In preparing this feature I must admit that this particular banner made me get all weepy all over again:

Just Beccuz also has some gorgeous banners perfect for decorating at weddings:

Or can’t you envision an engaged couple of bride and groom hold these banners in pictures???

Baby shower banners?

Just Beccuz takes care of that for you, too!

And for my LDS readers…  Just Beccuz even has Visiting Teaching Packets!

(What is visiting teaching?  Learn more about it here.)

Who’s ready to enter to win?  Well, one very lucky winner is going to receive a $25 gift certificate to spend at Just Beccuz!

*This giveaway is open to US entries only.

Vinyl Wall Art {Giveaway} ***ENDED***

“Ruby” is 2 months old and I’m FINALLY getting around to decorating the nursery.  Let’s just say that I take awhile to make decisions and get things done.  Okay…  I’m a major procrastinator!  It doesn’t help matters when “Ruby” came a month earlier than my due date.  Just think if I’m already a major procrastinator then an early birth really, really, really threw a wrench in my plans.  The nursery has a bird theme, because I think it’s just a darling theme!  Last week I spent hours and hours sewing curtains and bedding for her room.  And I still have a ways to go before finishing!  How about the wall decorations?  Well, obviously I’m the type of personality that needs help in that department or it will never be finished.  It also needs to be something that’s easy to do.  I mean this is me we are talking about.  🙂  Good thing for me there’s a place online that is all about Vinyl Wall Art.  That’s even the name of the shop, so it’s very easy for me to remember!  Recently Vinyl Wall Art sent me this vinyl growth cart that goes perfectly with the nursery theme:

Too cute, huh?

Since I have nursery decor on the brain let’s have a look at some of the other cute nursery decor ideas from Vinyl Wall Art, shall we?

There’s great animal vinyl wall art to match any theme:

                                                       Even animals in chalkboard!

And…

How cute are these nesting dolls?

And this fire truck?

Totally cute!

Told you there was a lot of cuteness!  Ready to find out what’s being given away?  One very lucky winner is going to receive a fabulously dandy prize!  A $50 gift certificate to Vinyl Wall Art!

*This giveaway is open to entries worldwide.

*Winners are not notified through email, so you have to check back to find out if you won! The winner of this giveaway will be posted on Monday, March 12th. Be sure and check back then to see if you won, so you can claim your prize!

Pumpkin & Butterfly {Giveaway} ***ENDED***

Happy Almost Valentine’s Day!  Do you have big plans for the actual day?  Or did you celebrate already over the weekend?  We might try to go out to dinner sometime soon.  Maybe this weekend.  It’s hard to find a babysitter for a 6 week old!  My husband (the audiologist man) did tell me already what my present for Heart’s Day was going to be.  He surprised me with plans to update our walk-in closet from its original 1960’s look.  Plans that included him doing the renovating.  Apparently he has spent weeks planning out the exact layout, shelving, etc.  I must admit that when I was first told of this endeavor I was just a tad bit nervous.  Now I’m not saying that I don’t have complete faith in my husband, because that is the farthest thing from the truth.  It’s just to my knowledge he’s never done any sort of wood working.  So that made me a little nervous.  I mean he knows a whole lot about ears!  🙂  Well, you know what?  I’ve just discovered that my husband also knows about building things!  I’m happy to report that the closet is looking mighty fine.  Yep I’m really proud of him!  Not that I had any doubt.  🙂  It’s still in process, but I’ll be sure to post pictures of the finished product.  Can I just tell you that I’m so excited with my present?  Audiologist man has heard me complain and complain about our closet.  He’s the best!  So to my audiologist man I say:

Where can you find that adorable elephant print?  At Pumpkin & Butterfly that’s where!

In honor of Valentine’s Day… I LOVE LOVE LOVE this shop!

Pumpkin & Butterfly has a ton (no pun intended) of art prints perfect for the day of love.

But frankly all of those lovely prints are perfect for giving and decorating around your house all times of the year!  Let someone know that you love ’em by ordering them a print from Pumpkin & Butterfly!

All of the art prints from Pumpkin & Butterfly are customizable in color options which is a plus for matching any decor.  Let’s have a looksie shall we?

Check out these adorable Someday Prints that would be too cute in your little dreamer’s room:
