Have you thought of what to give your neighbors for the holidays this year?  Are you doing any baking to give them?  Frankly I just do not have the time to make candy and cookies this year.  I just have too much going on.  Plus, our neighbors are really nice grandparent type people, so they always give Banjo actual gifts that would be like what Santa would bring him!  You know… toys, books, etc.  They give us nice home decor type gifts, too!  So somehow I feel bad just giving them cookies anyway.  So we tend to add them to our holiday gift giving list and buy them something little that they can enjoy this time of year.  Do you want to know what we are giving to our next door and across the street neighbors this year for Christmas?  Well, I’m going to tell you, so I sure hope none of them read my blog!  I don’t even think they know that I’m a blogger, though.  So that’s a good thing!   :)    This year we are giving our neighbors this plug-in burner and some holiday scents for it:

Confession time!  I just might be a fragrance and cosmetic snob.  Okay… I definitely am one!  :)    I refuse to wear just any old scent and I don’t put just any old makeup on my face.  Wow I feel a major weight off to get that said and out of the way.   ;)    That all being said I’m also all about natural looking cosmetics, because I’m just a natural kinda gal.  I may not wear a ton of makeup, but what I do wear is always high quality.  That’s why I love Apothica!  They carry all the top brands at great prices.  In fact Apothica has so many of the brands that I swear by.  It’s an all in one stop for all your cosmetic, bath, fragrance, and home needs!  Care to have a look at some of my favorites?

{Giveaway} Enjoy Lighting ***ENDED***

Alright so I’m kind of a candle fanatic.  I love the scents they give off.  I love the decorating potential.  I love the warmth and ambiance that a candle adds to my bedroom.  It is Valentine’s Day people!  :)   But what I don’t love is the flame that could become a fire.  It makes me really fearful to have candles around the house with a toddler running around.  Even before we had Banjo I didn’t want to have candles lit.  Our first child was our cat.  He couldn’t handle the candles!  So I had to give up on my dream of having a candle lit home UNTIL I learned all about the wonderfulness of flameless candles! 

Enjoy Lighting recently sent me a couple of their candles and they are seriously spectacular.  These aren’t your typical battery lit candles.  The LED lights actually create a realness with the way the light flickers.  Plus, the candle outside is made from wax that only adds to its realness.  I’m so very impressed by the nice glow that is given off and that there is a timer setting!  Now I don’t even have to worry about switching it off.  I can just set the time (4, 6, or 8 hours) and not have to worry about it. 

Talk about a real time saver!  :)

Scentsy with Kristy ***ENDED***

Above all else I like my house to smell nice.  A little dust here and there is not a problem in my mind.  Just as long as people are greeted with a nice smell as they enter and leave thinking that it smelled good in that dandy house!    After all, it will be what is remembered over the dust, right?    :)     The key to making my house smell above and beyond its best is this wonderful product that my friend Kristy is actually a consultant for…Scentsy.   She recently sent me some of these for my early Christmas preparations…

And now I can’t wait to order some fun holiday scents!

 I seriously love everything about this Scentsy stuff…  

I love the way there’s not a hazardous flame going all the time.  I love the way the wax melts evenly.  I love the modern and unique types of burners.

Especially the entire line of collegiate ones!

Scentsy ***ENDED***

Do you ever feel like your home could be a little fresher?  Maybe you’ve had sweaty little boys running in and out all day (this is every day in the summer at house), or a wet puppy,or sweaty little boys chasing a wet puppy (and why is it that sweaty little boys smell like wet puppies?)…. you get the idea (I could go on and on).  Come on, you know you have walked into your house and said, “hmmmm…. now what is that smell?”  Well,  I have found the cure!  It’s Scentsy!  If you don’t know about Scentsy, it is a decorative wax warmer that is heated by a small light bulb, instead of a traditional wick and flame (hello fire hazard!).

Scentsy warmers use either a 25, 20 or 15 watt light bulb (depending on your warmer) — so it’s just enough to melt the wax and release the scent into the air, but not enough to burn your skin.  The wax is non-toxic and biodegradable, so you can feel safe and responsible having it in your home.  Not to mention that there is a Scentsy warmer to match any home decor.

And the scents?  There is every scent you could dream of!  I personally have a stash for each season — in the spring and summer I like the fruity scents.  No wait… the scents that smell like clean laundry!

At the time all of my friends were raving about it. I was never given the opportunity to attend a Scentsy Party while living in San Antonio, but a friend of mine did host a party over the summer…right after I moved away!
