It’s A Wonderful Weekend

This weekend was wonderful and by far one of my favorite weekends of the year.  For starters it encompassed General Conference.  We spent time together as a family watching/listening to the conference talks and feeling the love of the spirit.  It always puts things in my life into proper perspective and reminds me of who I am.  No matter how my life might seem out of order or really overwhelming at times… I’m comforted that I’m not alone and that my Father in Heaven is aware of me.  Conference weekend gives us as a family a chance to slow down and remember what is truly important.  I’m so very grateful for my faith and family.  Because of both I am truly blessed.  During Conference breaks we had fun!  This is what I most want to instill in my children’s minds as they grow up.  I want them to remember hearing the talks year after year, but also spending time together as a family on these wonderful weekends.  What did we do during the breaks this year???

It was Banjo’s turn to take home the class pet (stuffed animal puppy) from school.  Each week a different child take Brownie home and is then responsible for taking him on an outing.  Taking pictures with him.  Writing in the book of Brownie’s travels.  You get the idea.  Last year we took the class pet Nemo (stuffed animal bear) to the Butterfly House.  This year we took Brownie to the Mastodon State Historic Site.

Then…

Ruby is fully mobile now.  In a matter of days she went from rolling everywhere, to crawling, to this:

Oh bless us all…  😉

Also…

My cousin’s wedding was this weekend.  Stay tuned for details on that wonderful event.  And the red dress…  *wink*
